I purchased this item at end of July, 2018. The clock keeps great time, but when received, the display brightness adjustment did not function. That was a minor problem and the level of illumination was not bothersome, so I did not bother to return the item. Actually a month or so after receipt, the brightness wheel started working - for a couple days, then stopped again for good. However, a few days ago, it started losing connection to USB cable, and the display would go dark. I had to fiddle with the connection to get it working again. Finally it stopped for good, found the USB socket in the device was broken, cable is good. No way to fix this. See several other purchasers had similar issue- the USB port broke.Really liked it while it lasted, but I'll have to find another bedside clock.UPDATE: I reached out to the vender Znewtech about this issue and they have been kind enough to send me a replacement at no charge, which I should receive next week Also advised they would replace the clock for other Amazon customers experiencing the same issue with the power port on this item. I will post another update if further issues. Adding 2 stars pending a good outcome and great service from the vendor.NEW UPDATE: Received my free replacement in March of this year. It is now the end of June. I am happy to say there have been no issues with the new clock. Keeps Perfect time, I have not had to adjust or fiddle with it in any way. It just works! Could not ask for a better product. Adding 1 more star for this EXCELLENT product.

I love it. My clock died in my bedroom and I wanted to move my Echo Dot.... so I bought this. Yes it costs a bit considering it’s a piece of molded plastic but it works perfect for me. I added some pictures since I wish there was more for me to view before I bought this.You will need to use the USB power cable that comes with your Echo Dot to power the clock and the Dot. No power cables from the clock to an outlet are included with this device. There is a pass through on the back of the clock which allows you to connect your Echo Dot to the clock unit. The original Echo Dot charging cable connects to separate port on the back of the unit, powering both the Echo Dot and the clock.Clock also uses two batteries which are not included to maintain the time in the event of power failure.Very easy to set the clock and dimmer feature it nice!

This is a well designed product that works just like you would like. Very easy to setup. The light is fully adjustable so you can dim it if you are light sensitive when you go to bed. The sound quality is good and it also looks good on the nightstand. Couldn't ask for much more. I much prefer an alarm that you can set just with your voice - no fumbling to fiddle with awkwardly places buttons or dials. I also like waking up to particular songs that I can set it to from Amazon Prime Music. The only complaint I have for it relates to volume control. I set the volume for the alarm to be low. And that is how it works. Perfect so far. But the next night if I want to set the alarm to come on at a different time, the volume can be quite loud when the Echo Dot tells me my alarm is set for 5:30 AM with music by the Judds. I say can be as it happens about 75% of the time but not all the time. A minor inconvenience and one I can easily deal with.

I liked many things about this little guy.... Simple, convenient place for echo dot, minimal functionality, does its job as a clock with adjustable settings and brightness... It does what it is supposed to do!That is until the Achilles Heel rears its ugly tendon! The Micro USB receiver in the back that powers the thing and also transfers power to the Echo Dot broke off fairly easily and quickly. I say easily and quickly because, unlike a cell phone, you only have to plug and unplug this little guy a couple times during its useful life!! Once it broke off the clock was an empty husk and utterly useless. The Clock Stand by ZNEW TECH does have a AAA battery compartment on the bottom, but sadly, it does NOT work!! I was hoping to simply run it on batteries and the Echo Dot directly to the outlet... This cannot be done, at least in my case. It may have been a fluke where my unit has defective battery connection as well... I do not know.I later opened the device up and checked out how bad the broken-off Micro USB port / receiver was and it was gone. There were, however, 2 weights of steel to apparently give the unit a little more heft and oomph and perhaps make it seem of higher quality??? Unclear. I will show in pictures and video soon on this review.Needless to say and TL;DR - DONT BUY, low quality and disappointing. (You had ONE job, clocky!!!)
