Natural Deodorant, No Aluminum. No Artificial Fragrance, Certified Vegan and Cruelty Free (Rose- Vanilla, 3 Pack)

Wonderful smell. Just enough protection

I first started using Schmidts a couple of years ago. It's still the best natural deodorant I've ever used, and has the best range of scents (I love the rose+vanilla one). I have read some reviews where there was sensitivity or roughness/bumps after trying it. I had the same problem at first, but it worked so well I decided to try their line of sensitive deodorant to see if it did the same thing. While it still works well, it didn't work quite as well as their regular line, but I didn't have any reaction to it, so I went through a whole tube of the sensitive, and then decided to go back to using the regular, expecting I would have the same sensitivity issue. I did not have the same issues at all, and now I use it regularly without any problems. So, if you really want to give this product a try but are having any of the issues in some of the other reviews, then you might try what some others have suggested and make sure that you warm it up next to your skin for a moment before applying, and apply it gently - you don't want to rub it in the same way you would with a regular deodorant stick. If that doesn't work then you might try doing what I did and get used to their one of their sensitive deodorant sticks and then going back to the regular. Of course if you are just alergic to something in it, then neither of those things might help you, but for the majority one or both of those things will probably help.

This is my favorite deodorant ever. I sweat a lot from my armpits and have tried everything from prescription deodorant from my doctor to probably every brand in the drug store to salt crystals and DIY hippie concoctions. Literally everything. The only thing that worked for me before this was an expensive Donna Karan deodorant that was very high in aluminum. The first time I tried this product I did get a rash but it wasn't as bad as some of these people's reviews. However, the only reason it happened was because I applied too much, too hard (the way i used to apply traditional deodorant). Another reason could be that your body may be sensitive to the baking soda. After some trial and error heres what I learned: To use this product 1) hold it up to your underarm skin for ~10-30 seconds to soften it 2) apply very gently and lightly. A little bit truly goes a long way. It can be rough on the skin otherwise because of the texture. This is what I do everyday and I have not any problems for about 2-3 years of using it. I don’t even need to reapply throughout the day - it just works! Another note is if you are switching from typical aluminum deodorant to a natural one, your body needs time to adjust! You may notice you smell WORSE than you do without any deodorant at all for about a week- because your body is releasing out all the toxins that your old deodorant was trapping in your sweat glands. But once this process is over and the body adapts you will be surprised at how amazingly well it works! Everyone's body chemistry is different, but this is something I struggled with for sooo long so here's my 2 cents!

I bought this deodorant from a store in the mall (don't remember which one) and absolutely LOVED it! I also tried the green-tea one (also loved it), the black charcoal one (not really a fan), and the unscented one (DEFINITELY not a fan). This one had been my favorite so I decided to buy it again.I have an extremely hard time finding natural deodorants that actually work. It's SO annoying having to reapply throughout the day and going home smelly at the end of the day if I was even mildly active that day. And just to note, I'm not abnormal in any way. I don't sweat a lot. I shower every day. Still, most natural deodorants just don't work for me. This one did, though! Well, except for the "unscented" variation of this. It's made with different stuff though because it's supposed to be specially formulated for sensitive skin. Also, this review isn't supposed to be about that one.So anyway... the only thing I didn't like about this particular deodorant: it's super rough! I'm not sure if it's salt crystals in there, or what, but it's not very pleasant at all. The first bar I bought definitely didn't have that feature (the charcoal one did, though. I thought it was exclusive to the charcoal variation until I bought the rose one a second time). Maybe it's new? I don't like it at all. But it's not enough to get me to stop using it. It has worked consistently, even on my very active days. I've put this on before a long mountain hike in the summertime and it was still going strong by the end of that day! I like that if I'm sweating, I just smell like roses and vanilla. :) As for the roughness, I heat it up a little before I apply it and that helps a little.Overall, though, I'm extremely impressed and I'll keep using this!

This deodorant WORKS. It actually lasts all day and I smell no different the next day! But the best part about it is the smell, which is so heavenly I want to keep smelling my pits all day haha!! DO NOT scrape this deodorant roughly over your skin, you will be sorry! Just let it melt into your skin for several seconds before slowly and gently swiping across the skin.Cons: Don't get it on the outside of black clothes, the baking soda is visible against a dark background.It's a bit ridiculously expensive so I rotate using it with other cheaper natural deodorants. However, this one can't be beat for how well it works and how amazing it smells!
