Filters caused the air purifier to emit a strange odor for two hours before it went away.
I have 6 air purifiers and this one is the best of them all reducing the cigarette odor smoke from my next door neighbor. When the filters needed replacement I was concerned that they may cause a smell for a couple of hours being new before going away. Maybe because it was wrapped in plastic. My concern was warranted as for a couple of hours there was an unpleasant smell before it eventually dissapated.Do not know why this happens that is a rarity.

It work very well
Cleans the air very nicely. I live in a cold climate and smoke ( I know it's bad). When I do smoke in my office room I clears it out very quickly. Guests in the other parts of home can't even tell. Takes care of the pet dust and pollen as well. Very satisfied.

Gimicky
You buy the purifier...then have to replace them with these filters and theyre not cheap. If not then you soent 109 bucks for the filter for nothing. And it doesnt work properly without it so.
