Q: My dog tends to put little rips in blankets with his claws. They were recently cut by a vet, so they are not too long. Will this withstand?

I did not buy mine for your specific purpose but this blanket is HEAVY DUTY and is more like it has 3 layers 1 fluffy, 1 velvet and the middle waterproof fabric. I really do not see a dogs nails ripping this unless they are diggers and focus on 1 spot.
