Review: Lacked measurement conversion g for grams to c for cups. Review: This is good, simple recipe book. None of the recipes are too elaborate and you don't need to be a professional chef to make them. Indeed, many of the brief reviews shown on the inside cover use words like 'easy' and 'simple'. Obviously this all lives up to the title of the book since it uses the words 'express' and 'fast'. The introduction goes into quite a lot of detail regarding how the recipes are tagged, what the key ingredients are and what the essential kit is. The food photography throughout the book is extensive and of good quality. Some of the recipes in the multi method chapters have more than one photograph and also stretch to more than one page. Each recipe has at least one full-page photograph, which is good so that you can see what you're aspiring to, but the downside is that there are less recipes in the book than you'd have if not all of them had photographs. You can probably guess what a roasted root vegetable soup or a cheesy pasta bake should look like without having to see. Each recipe is labelled with things such as veggie, vegan, dairy free, gluten free, batch cook, freeze me and (where appropriate) a number of chilli peppers to rate the spiciness. Preparation time, cooking time and number of servings appear at the top of every recipe. There are tips in the corner of the page sometimes with some non-obvious advice or possible variations. The final chapter has detailed nutritional information for all of the recipes. Overall, as a simple recipe book for someone who might not be an experienced cook, this latest Pinch of Nom book is very good. For completeness the contents page looks like this: Introduction 6 Quick Cook 20 Quick Cook: Air Fryer and Multi Method 90 Quick Prep 118 Quick Prep: Air Fryer and Multi Method 228 Index, Nutritional Info and Acknowledgements 244 The full list of recipes: Breakfast tacos Poached egg with crispy Parma ham Green eggs and ham Savoury breakfast pancakes Teriyaki chicken donburi Beef and pineapple burgers Szechuan-style noodles Cashew nut chicken Chilli crab linguine Green veg pasta Meatballs with ginger and spring onion Garlicky surf and turf Tamarind chicken Beef with chilli and garlic Bourbon glazed chicken Ham, cheese and spinach omelette wrap Yellow Thai-style curry Beef, ginger and orange stir-fry Garlic, chilly and parsley spaghetti Carrot and ginger soup Peanut ramen Pizza pockets Cauliflower cheese with bacon Pizza pork Tuna melt wrap Roasted lemon and Parmesan broccoli Sticky pineapple fried rice Tuna bean salad Bacon, cheese and tomato slices Black Forest Bakewells Apricot Danish-style pastries Peach Bellini jellies Banana pancake traybake Raspberry filo tart Zinger halloumi fries with garlic and onion dip Sweet chilli chicken nuggets Pesto chicken escalope Fiery chilli chicken kebabs Chicken parmo Crispy garlic mushrooms Mashed potato balls Mocha lava cakes Breakfast folded wrap Banana and blueberry muffins Egg and bacon pies Sweet and sour halloumi curry Tofu and coconut curry Loaded puppy fries Fragrant chicken curry Lemon and ginger chicken Peri-peri pulled chicken wraps Creamy chipotle beef Shredded vegetable and chicken salad Sausage and tomato mac 'n' cheese Salt and pepper chicken salad Mushroom keema Bacon and red pesto soup Cullen skink Roasted root vegetable soup Spicy pasta soup Creamy bacon and butternut squash chicken Tomato and mango salsa chicken Cheesy Marmite pasta bake Ham and cheese gratin Spanish-style roast vegetables BBQ bolognese Chicken puttanesca bake Creamy sausage and mash pie Apple and mustard swineherd's pie Sticky plum and chicken traybake Chimichurri baked cod Bobotie Dijon sausages Curried quiche Creamy hunter's chicken Cider chicken pie Cheesy garlic gammon Roasted red pepper chicken Margherita cod Roast pork and apple salad Boulangere potatoes Sweet potato hash browns Sweet carrot and ginger slaw Prawn saganaki Winter berry cobbler Biscoff sponge traybake Orange and ginger rhubarb crumble Caramel apple upside-down cake Cookies and cream cheesecake Chocolate sponge traybake Mint chocolate mousse Chocolate and ginger tart Raspberry sorbet Salted caramel froyo Lemon and lime pots Peanut butter and chocolate ice pops Zinger tuna fishcakes Smoky chicken and bean stew Pulled pork chilli Lentil falafel burgers

I love this book! It has so many easy and tasty recipes that are perfect for busy days. I have tried several of them and they are all delicious and satisfying. The book is well organized and has clear instructions and beautiful photos. I also like that it has some air fryer and slow cooker recipes, which are very convenient. Some of my favorite recipes are the Tamarind Chicken, the Sticky Pineapple Fried Rice, and the Creamy Bacon and Butternut Chicken. They are all full of flavor and very filling. I also enjoy the sweet treats section, which has some yummy and guilt-free desserts. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves good food and wants to save time and money.

I have a large collection of recipe books because I love cooking but I'm not particularly creative with food and need a bit of direction and inspiration the kitchen. In true Pinch Of Nom style, this new 'Express' book is a superb collection of recipes that do not require any fancy ingredients that you wouldn't be able to pick up with your regular food shop. One of my favourite things about these books, 'Express' included, is that each recipe is accompanied by a fabulous full colour photograph of the finished dish. I do like to know what the end result is supposed to look like. As with the previous books all recipes are labelled to show whether or not they can be frozen or batch cooked or if they are gluten or dairy free etc. Number of servings per recipe is noted as are approximate prep and cooking times. The book is divided into two sections 'Quick Cook' and 'Quick Prep'. But is it really 'Express'....well sort of yes, for the most part and depending on your definition of express. If you're expecting an entire book full of recipes that can be prepped, cooked and on the table in a half hour then you might be slightly disappointed with the 'Quick Prep' half of the book. There are a few recipes in this section that I would still describe as fast, but many of these recipes are likely to take closer to an hour from start to finish (including prep time) with a just a few even having a cook time of roughly an hour or more. However these are mainly recipes that you can just bung in the oven or slow cooker and not have to do a great deal with after prep so it's not so bad. As with any recipe book, there are a couple of recipes that I probably won't try but I'll give the vast majority a go. I can see the Biscoff Sponge Traybake being a favourite in our house. Really looking forward to trying the Pulled Pork Chilli (6 hours in slow cooker, so not strictly express), Cider Chicken Pie, Sticky Plum and Chicken Traybake, Spicy Chicken Pasta, Fragrant Chicken Curry, Sweet chilli Nuggets and Pizza Pockets (these will be a great packed lunch alternative). Despite some recipes being a bit of a stretch on the term 'Express' this is still a fabulous, well presented book, great value and definitely a worthwhile addition to your recipe book collection..
