Pee runs some due to ctexture and kind of slippery but is leak proof

If you're like me, you're tired of the rising cost of disposable pee pads. They've more than doubled since 2020, and I'm not ok with that! I'd heard about different dog rescues using these and I finally got curious enough to order one...I'm so glad I finally did! This pad is soft yet sturdy with great stitching. The bottom is non-skid and waterproof. You can position these to "come up on to" things like bedding. This way, your boy dog will mark the pad instead of his bed.I remembered reading on the disposable pad box that they had attractant chemicals in them to make dogs want to use them. I was curious to see if my dog would miss that.... nope! He was attracted to this pad right away and used it. Just place it where he's used to going or wherever you used to put disposables.Some laundry quick tips:You'll have to experiment with washing at first, because every dog's urine chemistry is different.I found that when I let my dog use the pad for longer than a week, it became smelly and it took 2x washing cycles to get the odor out. But still, using a single pad for 6 days with no smell in the house is AWESOME!You might want to have some enzyme cleaner to add to your washer, as well. I like Kids n' Pets, but Nature's Miracle is another popular one. These types of cleaners help break down the urine completely.Lastly (and this one is important!). Never use fabric softener, as it ruins the pads.Try this one and see the difference! (your dog and your wallet will thank you).

I ordered these to go over the top of a rug that the disposable pad would normally just lay on. I got tired of having to wash the rug which shows a lot more wear and tear every time when they would accidentally go to close to the edge. These will be a double barrier for the rug. It’ll be much much easier to wash these well-made cotton pads if they do go over the edge of their disposable one. I didn’t pay attention to the dimensions but these are long like a runner and not square. Which is OK, sometimes when they go potty they get it on their feet and this way they can walk over the top of the washable pad and it’ll help get it off their feet.

These are impressive pads. Much larger and more substantial than I had anticipated. Well made and really absorbant, and they look like they will hold up well to washing.
