Lift and hold has stopped working
When I first recieved this I wa more than happy with it but unfortunatly as time has gone on (4 months now) the lift and hold on the riser has stopped working - when you pull the handle on the shelf to raise it up and then release it does not hold the possition and just drops back down. :(

Can't lower the desk
Really solid desk, raises like a dream first time round but I am completely unable to lower the desk which renders it largely pointless.

A solid bit of kit
This is a solid piece of desktop hardware although I have it floor-standing at present because I need to get my office sorted out properly. It's well made, well-finished and well-packaged.Pros:Holds two 21" monitors easily.Only requires a hex and screwdriver to assembleSolidly constructed, well-finished, actually easy to assemble single-handedlyCons:Plastic capping to hydraulic pillar pops off if you breath in its general direction. The keyboard and mug stand seems colossal but I wasn't the reason I bought the unit. The assembly instructions could be better in terms of offering detail close-ups of key elements. One final note is that if, like me, the keyboard platform is too 'in your face', you will have the issue of the rise and fall release lever not having a permanent fixing. For me, for now, I will just adapt the folding plate of the platform to suit my works laptop and make it big enough to fix the lever to that. All in all, I am very happy with the product. Time only will tell if I stay that way.

Not dual ergonomic in practice
Bought the DM05D15 as a standing desk converter - it seemed to be a better fit than other models due to my height (6’3”).From the product description it looked like this unit provided a dual ergonomic setup whereby the monitor attachment and work surface can be moved independently. The way the product actually works is that both work surface and monitor arm are attached to one solid piece with Allen screws. This piece then raises or lowers up and down the central column attached to the base at the pull of a lever. While the work surface and monitor arms can be moved to pretty much any part of the solid piece, they both then have to be screwed in place. So you can’t easily adjust them on the fly. This means you have to compromise on placement, or accept that while either sitting or standing your monitors will be out of place.I have set the unit to fit my measurements standing, and have just accepted that while sitting my monitors are too high. The work surface is fine for typing and mouse movement, but I definitely wouldn’t lean on it. Could be done with more width on the work surface though it is usable. The height is fine for me while standing, I think you’d be ok up to 6’5” - any taller and you may need to place sheets of mdf or something underneath to bring things up to height.Overall slightly disappointed, but it’s only £120 and beats being stuck in a seated position. Why manufacturers of this type of product can’t make a model similar to this but with quick and easy separate adjustable heights for both screen and keyboard is beyond me - I assume there are technical challenges associated with this for the price point.

Fit for purpose
Although very difficult to assemble it is fit for purpose once set up. A bit of a pain to move it up and down but you get what you pay for.

It could be a good standing desk but ...
for some reason the hydraulics that raise and lower the desk do not work as you would expect, or at all really. The desk is pretty stable as it has a wide base-plate. The functionality would be great if I did not have to wrestle the desk up and down every time I need a change of height. My husband has to move it up or down for me. I am no weakling, but it takes that much force as there in almost no hydraulic pressure to assist you.The height of the monitor placement is good. I am 5'9" tall and the monitor is at eye height when fully extended. Obviously this depends on the surface you have it standing on and mine is 70 cm high. The fixtures for the monitors are secure and can be moved to any position horizontally depending on the size of the monitors. They also have a tilt function so that you can adjust the viewing angle up or down. Not a bad product - if only I didn't have to go all WWF every time I want to change teh height.
