This is the second brace of this type that I have bought. This has longer "handles" that raise the drop foot a bit more than the other one that I have. It will however, not fit in my shoes even though I have a size larger due to neuropathy. The bandaging is too thick once it is on. Neuropathy and drop foot are not a good combo. Anyway, the brace. I wear it around the house, and it provides better stability for my foot. At times I am able to walk without my canes because the brace also provides extra balance. And when my ankle bothers me, it provides some protection and compression comfort. I cannot wear it for more than three hours at a time because of my symptomology but it is well worth it at other times.

This is good for door drop. I had a stroke a few years ago and I'm limping because of it. This brace works and my walk is much better.

I wear 7 1/2 women's shoe. This was a little short for my foot. It does help a little around the house, but the toe wears down, velcro loses itsd power. I keep looking for a comfortable AFO to wear arouund the house. This helped a bit for 3 months then stopped being helpful,.

The support gives the support I need as well as the freedom to wear any type of shoe.

It didn't support as well as I expected. It was hard to get in my shoes and it caused blisters.

Stretches heel cord as well

If you wrapped a tongue depressor to the bottom of your foot with one wrap of elastic athletic tape you’d get more support for a foot drop AND you’d be able to get your foot in a shoe (unlike this bulky mess). It’s just some soft, spongy material and a short piece of plastic sewn to the bottom.

This is not a great product for an elderly woman who struggles with balance and sight issues. Very tough to get it secured comfortably. It did not fit in her shoe. Unfortunately we had to return it.
