It's a tiny indoor garden!
My wife and I have really enjoyed this. It was smaller than I thought it would be, but it's perfect for a counter top or couch table. Our grandkids love it too. Our 3 yr old granddaughter always wants to be put it on the counter top so she can touch and smell the plants. So far we have seeded tomato plants, pepper plants and a cucumber plant. We have transplanted those to a hydroponic system we built and have replanted some herbs in it. Watching them sprout is pretty cool. the light is bright and does a good job. Instructions are simple and easy to follow. It's a good value for the price. I would definitely buy this again.

One of the Best Hydroponic Gardens
I've tried a few different hydroponic growing systems, and this is one of the best I've used. It's a bit cheaper than some other systems out there, but it works well. The plants grow fast and healthy. There are several features that make this one stand out: 1) Larger footprint than other 12-pod gardens. While this means that it takes up more space, it also means that the pods are spaced further apart. When youโve got your garden really growing, having some more space between plants is a big deal. Iโd rather lose a few more square inches of table space if it means that the plants have more room. It seems only this garden is designed like this. 2) LED array is really good in this model. The lights are brighter than some of my other gardens, and Iโve seen distinct differences in growth and leaf color based on how bright the lights are. This one is a beast. Also, unlike every other one of my hydroponic gardens, this one has each LED recessed inside individual cells instead of being flush with the bottom of the light fixture. This will help with two things: leaves that grow to the top will not be in contact with the LED and get burned as easily, and the recessed cells direct more of the light down instead of having a lot of it spill out outside of the garden. Your plants will get more of the good stuff! 3) Drain hole on bottom. Only one of my other gardens have this, and itโs very nice. Every couple of months, I like to drain the tanks and refill them with fresh water. Over time, nutrients and gunk may build up in the tank, so a full drain and refill will restore water purity. Having a drain on the bottom makes it a lot easier than lifting the entire grow platform out and dealing with the mess of roots. 4) This hydroponics growing system has a low water level alarm. Iโve forgotten to add water to my tank before when water levels are low, and itโll effect plant growth. With the alarm, a beep will tell you when you need to water. Very convenient and intuitive! 5. Useful memory function for emergencies. Once my family told me that the power was cut off at home, I was at work and was very worried that the plants would die. When I got home, the machine was still working. The plants were perfectly fine, thanks to the hydroponics system memory. I'm so glad I have it! It really takes the worry out of plant care.

Love mine. Have bought several more.
Love this so much I bought everyone one for Christmas and now they are growing their own lettuce, tomatoes and cilantro. Very easy to use - soak your pods, put in your seeds, and watch them grow. You do nothing. The grow light goes off and on by itself, water circulates so it doesn't go stagnant. I can't tell you how much I've grown in this. All my romaine lettuce, tiny tomatoes, small peppers. These are great and well worth the money and such a great gift. Takes up very little room in your house.

Organic garden
Easy of use and set up. Light is really bright. Seedlings grow so fast, better to replant early as when roots grow thick, it is hard to remove. You barely hear the motor for the water. Height is reasonable for most plants. Game changer for those who think you need a greenthhumb to garden.

Super easy and user friendly!
This system has been great for growing herbs and greens indoors. It was easy to set up and the plants started growing quickly once everything was running. The light is strong enough to keep everything healthy, and having multiple pods makes it easy to grow a variety of things at the same time. Itโs been a fun and really convenient way to keep fresh herbs at home.

5 Stars With A Few Caveats
This is an excellent option. A solid brand that offers more reliability and a warranty unlike ultra cheap generic brands but not NEAR as expensive as the big name brands while still giving you the same quality product. I actually bought two seperate inbloom systems. This large one and a smaller one. Comparing the two side by side this one definitely has a major perk but a few downsides as well. I'm honestly surprised. I would expect the systems to maintain the same quality. The downsides of this are really only compared to the other system of the same brand! The perks - The biggest perk is that if you manually turn the light off it will still keep track of the time and turn on 8 hours later. Living in a rural area the power sometimes flickers. Meaning the system totally resets and the grow lights may be on all night long. With this one I can just tap the light button before bed and 8 hours later it will turn on. With the smaller one if you tap the button it totally turns off the lighting, meaning I must manually turn it on the following day. The water gauge is enclosed in sturdy glass, no need to worry about bumping it. The drawbacks - The pieces between the two systems aren't really interchangeable. The smaller system includes stakes for plants and this one does not. However, the smaller systems stakes are too thick to use in this. I solved this by using chopsticks. The grow baskets are also different sizes. If I get them mixed up the basket for the smaller system will sit about 1cm raised out of the slot of this system. The smaller system is also a little better engineered overall. No knob to raise or lower the lamp. No extra wiring running from the base to the lamp. Small things that make it feel nicer. All in all it's still a great product. A few caveats but nothing I wouldn't notice if I wasn't comparing two products from the same brand. I'd definitely recommend it.

Harvesting after only two weeks!!
So easy to grow a mini garden in your home or office! The photo is my kale and lettuce exactly two weeks after planting the seeds. The inBloom behind the front one is where I had to transplant my kale after harvesting which seemed to grow the fastest. The set-up was extremely easy. They are portable and can be put practically anywhere. Once turned on, the water pump and lights cycle itself so all you have to do is make sure the water doesn't go empty in the reservoir. It is literally fool proof for someone like me who forgets to water my plants on a daily basis. In fact, I love these mini hydroponic systems so much that I'm buying two more for my herbs as I write this! I suggest getting at least two of these inBloom hydroponic systems if you can to transplant any plants that seem to be growing at a faster rate and taking over the other plants. I tried to plant similar seeds that have the same germination rate, and height which will help with one overtaking another. I guess my kale had other plans. I had enough for salad yesterday and also today with the kale and as you can see, the other lettuce will need to be harvested. I'm amazed as the plants were only seeds two weeks ago. I bought the 12 pod inBloom hydroponic systems and planted the same seeds in three of the pods for each variety. I planted 4 varieties of lettuce/kale so they each have 3 pods to grow from which I find plenty for one to two people every other week. What I planted from left to right: Romaine lettuce, Grand Rapids Green Leaf Lettuce, Buttercrunch Lettuce and in the back black inBloom just recently transplanted and harvested is dwarf Siberian Kale which is perfect for mini hydroponic systems! The lights will be bright and light up an entire room so I have mine in their own room and behind a make-shift screen of cardboard which helps quite a bit when they are on at night. I do suggest getting the 12 pod system. You won't regret it!

broken unit,
I was very disappointed when the wrong item arrived. we had ordered a white unit to match the kitchen but the seller shipped a black one. At my three year old botanist's insistence we kept the black model so she could start planting right away. Set up was fairly easy, but we were again disappointed when the unit did not come with the plant steaks shown in the picture. The water pump on this unit is also broken. I would exchange the unit for a functioning one but transportation to the post office is tricky so we will just keep this model and hope the plants do not grow algae or mold. Other reviewers mentioned the water gauge did not work, ours appears to work well, but we have only had the unit for 24 hours, I will post an update as the water level drops. The directions were a bit vague, we were not sure if the nutrient mix was to be added per liter of water or just total volume. This was not a big deal though, we just decided to split the difference and add 10 ml of each nutrient. We were also not sure if we should thin the plants out after the seeds start to sprout. All in all though the 3 year old loved setting up the plant baskets, mixing the nutrients (she just shook the bottles), adding the water and dirt, setting the domes. If the unit was the correct color and had a working pump we would be in love. But at the price point, right now it is just a bowl of water and a grow lamp.

Love it!
I'm new to hydroponics so I can't compare this to anything, but so far am loving it. Seeds germinate so fast. Plants look great. Pump is a little loud, especially with two 12 pod inblooms side by side.

Faulty Light.
Light has broken after 6 weeks of use. My son is gutted as spent his Christmas money on this. Please advise how to return or get a replacement.

Doing great with this
With my brown thumbs I didn't have much hope but I wanted to try to grow some dill and cilantro for my bunnies in the winter. This was so easy to use and I got so much dill! Love the timer so you can set and forget and it comes on and off at the set times, perfect for my plants. Adding water is easy too.
