Just place a finger onto the pad and then lightly onto a clean piece of paper. After this a gentle wipe of the finger with a tissue removes all traces of the pad. Protect yourself against online money fraud, which is ever more common.
I saw a report by an ex FBI chap, who suggested informing the various credit agencies, (as he has) that unless your thumb print is included on a finance/borrowing request, they must refuse it. Seemed a good and easy idea, so bought this ink pad for my thumb print. Seems to work well, and I think good value. If a bank or company does give a fraudster money, supposedly in your name, without obeying your finger print instruction, they will have to refund you, as they didn't follow your specific instruction. Simple and efficient, now online and ID fraud is so prevalent.
