More Necklaces Braided on the Kumihimo Disk

I recently received "More Necklaces Braided on the Kumihimo Disk" by Karen DeSousa. It was similar to the first book, but had some exciting new braided designs.I was having a problem making one of the designs and sent an e-mail to Karen. She answered very promptly with some written instructions that helped me understand the design. Actually, they followed the book's braiding chart exactly. It was my own lack of attention that was my problem, but Karen wanted to help.When I wrote her to thank her and tell her I was successful, she wrote back again wishing me success. How many authors would do that?

I love kumihimo. Any new ideas for my creations are always welcome. Karen's books always give me new and different ways to liven up my designs. Thank you, Karen!

This book gave me some new ideas for a familiar craft. The new "twist" are simple to do but create beautiful results. Great for a beginner even.

In my opinion, this book is good for beginners or someone who is looking for a few good patterns. Most of these pattern instructions can be found on the internet for free. On theother hand, the book does contain very clear directions and diagrams. Like I stated, if you are just starting out, this is a good book to buy.

This book gave me lots of new ideas about how to use my Kumihimo Disk. I am going to try each and every project. They are all beautiful and WEARABLE!

this book was not what I expected or needed. It was a good beginner book but I was looking to expand my experience therefore this book was not as challenging for me. Ok for reference.

Love her books! I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to improve their skills in Kumihimo. Hope you enjoy this an much as I do.

After purchasing Rachel Coombs' excellent book - I was really disappointed with this book. The book arrived quickly (from US to UK) and it was packaged appropriately. I found the quality of the book poor - it felt flimsy and cheap. I felt that the book wasn't good value for money - it didn't have many patterns. If you are new to Kumihimo - the patterns aren't that easy to follow. I will endeavour to persevere and try all the patterns in the book to ensure that the book doesn't gather dust. That said - I'm still interested in getting her other books however I've managed my expectations.
