The Abduction of Emily Byrne Paperback – Import, 16 March 2014

I liked the setting of this story. I'll have to visit sometime. The love story between Emily and Red was inconsistent. At the end she said she bickered with him all the time when it seemed to me they got along fine during her fathers illness. The thoughts that go through Emily's head get very tedious. Had to start skimming those. And the grammar and punctuation caused problems with understanding.

A very good read. A splendid attempt from a first time author. I hope that will be more to follow.

Started slowly but worth the effort to get into. historical detail really convincing. Couldn't put it down.... Heart wrenching. Twist at the end too!
