Welcome to Harrak: The Calamitous Bob Book Four Paperback – September 14, 2023

Of this series, this one has one of my favorite sub stories in it. A perspective of our main character from from that of an enemy. An enemy who is just trying to do his job and be a good man, that just happens to believe in the wrong cause. It is a great self contained mini story that provides a good outside view of Vivane, and I enjoy rereading it.

An excellent series that follows a female MC, The Calamitous Bob is a tale filled with goodness, inclusivity, and the cutest dragon. (All Hail Arthur!)The fourth book continues the trend and I continue to highly recommend!

If you are arachnophobic at all, skip this book and go on to the next one.It's not just one scene, there's a whole section of the book with graphic spider content.

Most series start strong and then slowly lose steam over time. Some series start somewhat weakly and then hit their stride later in the first book or in the second book before declining. Very rare is the series that starts strong and gets even stronger over time.Despite that, Welcome to Harrak is easily the strongest book in the series so far. From start to finish, it is an almost nonstop wild ride. I enjoyed the light political machinations in books 2 and 3, but I read some other reviews on them from people who did not.Those people will be thrilled with this installment. Politics? Nope. It's pure chaos to almost a comical degree (and Vivianne knows it). It takes the series' unique blend of action, drama, and comedy to a new level.

I could tell that the author was kind of forced to do in about-face with the plot on this book. The main plot for the first 3 books just wrapped up and ended within pages of the first third of this book, and then suddenly the main character had to make a trip somewhere that had never been mentioned for the last 3 books. And she had to do it within 1 day of winning a gigantic Civil War with no time to recover. So it was a bit of a forced by stupid decisions also. However, I still enjoyed the book and look forward to the next.

Now the beginning of the book was so cool and very interesting seeing things from an enemy's point of view when it comes to suffering from gorilla tactics.

If you have read and enjoyed the previous three books in this series, you will undoubtably find book four just as entertaining.

One of the best book series ive ever read. While you can read the story for free on royalroad i prefer the easy access and comfort of having the e-books on my kindle. The books are priced pretty low too, which makes the decision to support the writer and getting the nicer to read e-books in turn easy.i just couldnt stop reading and read all 6 books within 4 days. Currently im reading the continuation of the story on royalroad and later patreon. I really didnt expect it but the series will go in my all-time top 3 with azarinth healer and btdm. Thanks alot. Im exited to finally have another series to come back to every year and see how it evolves. Regarding the writing i like that its less focused around stats and ability, but still gives the reader a clear image of what the progress of the characters look like and what they are vapable of. The pacing is also just right, it doesnt loose itself in long fighting arcs like azarinth healer does at times, and always manages to keep the pace up and me interested during the story arcs. In between there is also some time taken to explore the world withiut it getting boring. One of very few series this long where i havent skipped any chapters/ arcs yet. Definitly give it a try, at least read it for free on royalroad until Bob arrives at the first town.

Another excellent installment of the saga of Viv. Her luck both good and bad propels her through the world which she has found herself. Can’t wait for next book. I like to buy the books and reread them later.
