Q: What's the difference between the model 355 and the 155? Is it related to convenience of the switch?

No, they have two different covers. They both have the same switch. The 155 has a regular cover that produces moist heat - the 355 has an extra sleeve inside the cover where you could add a damp washcloth to produce extra moisture for dryer climate.

Q: I noticed the product info on amazon shows the maxheat plus model requires a lithium battery. is this true or is it in error? if true, what is it for?

No batteries in any of the ones I’ve bought over the years for 30 years. The BEST heating pad EVER! You plug them in and they stay on till you turn them off or set them to turn off in a certain amount of time.

Q: Is there any warranty on the heating pad??

There is. I'm not exactly what it is but mine stopped working after a few months so I called the company. Each heating pad has a serial number and when I read it off to her she told me that yes it was still under warranty. I shipped it back to them with a reference number and am just waiting for the new one. The customer service was great and they are quite friendly over the phone which was a pleasant surprise.

Q: Is this the push button one?

No, this is the good one. The push button one is just a black rocker control for on or off. You have to hold the button down or the heat cuts off. It is irritating and I have no clue why they would design something like it. I have one like the picture here and have almost worn it out on my back. I love that heat on when I am in my recliner. Hope I answered your question.
