Fantastic read and the best footballing book I have ever read. Not only packed with facts and knowledge about the beautiful game, but the humour had me laughing out loud all the way through. If you have ever been to a football match, at any level, you will see this for the masterpiece it is

My brother suggested I read this, he had, 15 yrs or so ago.Found it very interesting, plus, amazingly funny, couldn't stop laughing. A few too many `cliches` thrown in but nevertheless I also recommend buying a copy.

You don’t have to be from the North-East to appreciate this book, although it does help. Harry Pearson’s humour shines through. A very funny book. A recommended author!

An intriguing trip around the, mostly amateur football grounds of the north east. Full of humour and wit. More about the people and the passion than the football.

A detailed, interesting and excruitiatingly funny view on regional football which will hold the attention of anyone remotely interested in the game. Impromptu laughter can be a health hazard but in this case it is unavoidable, in a nice way! One of the funniest books you will ever read with the by-product that you will be much better informed about people after reading it.

A really witty and well written book. A perfect holiday book or present for football mad dad's!
