i got this 3lb lava rocks mix to make a diy lachuza pon! i have never used pon before but did some research for a diy recipe. it looked like i needed 1 part zeolite, 2 parts lava rock & 4 parts pumice. this mix fulfilled the zeolite & lava rocks ratio perfectly (plus 1 part maifanitum which i’m hoping doesn’t hurt) so i mixed 1 part of this with 2 parts of some pumice that i had. the size of the stones in this mix is perfect! like the size of lentils. & the pumice i used was the same size.i rinsed the mix very well & popped a few plants in with nutrient water. so far it looks really good. i’m hoping my plants like it!!

I have purchased this a few times and am always really happy with the product.

Do wash 5-6 times before use because of dust if using for any kind of ornamental use or in any aquariums. I found it great to mix in with my regular soil for great amendment purposes. It works great with my baby ceilings that I have from my mimosa plants. I have used it for my Hoyas have used it for my string of things, and I’ve also used it for my jasmine baby Plants. Because I used it in my soil amendment I did not bother to rinse. I poured into empty glass jars to use as decoration while I waited for a reason to need to pour it into my soil. I have recommended this to all of my friends and family as it is great. My son has a small goldfish he won from the fair. We rent some of the rocks and put it at the bottom of the small tank, and they look great even in there. I will be buying again.

Works great for our succulents. Definitely want to wash the dust off though. The bag size was good for value I spent.

Can be used mixed into Succulent Soils to provide the highly necessary Drainage. Also adds interest and beauty, when sprinkled on Top of the Finished Succulent Planting.Price is high but, it does an excellent job.

I only gave it a five star because it fulfilled my need. I will not reorder. I didn't weight before using but the bag came half full and this is something I don't care for. The bag also looked like it was hiding in someone's warehouse for a while.On the stone mix: I purchased 7lbs and this is great for making "PON". The original does not have maifan stones so this might be a plus.

I bought the products for gardening my succulents, I think they will be perfect.

I use this in my bonsai soil mixes, and also for a bottom layer in planters. Greatly helps with drainage.
