Make your PC "headless".
Bought this for headless boot of my mini PC when I planned to take it and my Quest 2 headset on a particularly dull hotel stay. Make sure you set up auto-logon because you'll have no way to sign on. I've since picked up the Ray Neo 3s glasses which my computer recognizes as a monitor and don't need this as much but it's small and functional and will remain in my travel kit, just in case.

Works and easy to install!
It works well and is easy to use and install. The response via remote access also feels faster than the old physical monitor I was using prior.

Surprised
So I was surprised that this would work. I was looking for something that I could just turn on the pc and stream from wherever and not have to worry about the PC connected to a TV or Monitor. I even took it a step further and used software where I could keep the PC connected to a TV or Monitor and if I felt like streaming and not removing cords that it would automatically switch over to this. So we will see how it lasts but it works with a Radeon RX 7600 XT on windows 11 if that helps anyone is looking at specs to see if their GPU would work.

Never did work right
I never could get the EDID information to work right, it only wanted to display a weird size that was not what I needed. I ended up using a different plug that worked much better.

HDMI and DisplayPort Options both work great!
I bought both the 3840P-1(HDMI 4k60Hz) and DP4K60HZ-1P(DisplayPort 4k60Hz) products. Both work on Fedora 38 with Plasma/X11, plugged into a RTX 3080 GPU. 1920x1080@240Hz works, 3840x2160@60Hz works, and I also get an option for 4096x2160@60Hz as well. Literally plug and play. Screenshots look identical, but one is the HDMI and the other is DisplayPort.Honestly, I am surprised this works for how cheap it is. I bought this primarily for Moonlight/Sunshine gaming if anyone is curious. Also a FYI to other potential buyers, the both dummy plugs will only support what your hardware(GPU, laptop, etc.) supports. For example, I tested the HDMI dummy plug on my Dell Inspiron laptop and the HDMI port on the laptop only goes up-to 3840x2160@30Hz, because the HDMI port on the laptop itself does not support 4k60Hz, only 4k30Hz. But again, that same HDMI dummy plug works at 4k60Hz when plugged into my RTX 3080 GPU in my desktop.

Great Emulator!
Perfect for GPU rendering, especially while gaming on a PC that has an additional open HDMI port!

Works perfect for my headless-steam server
I highly recommend this if you are using the headless-steam project from github. I am running steam in a docker with remote capabilities and this project works perfect with this dummy plug as it already has the resolution setup so when you connect it to your steam link app/etc you have a pretty flawless experience.. i could be leaving some key features out but i figured people buying this know what they are looking for. Its not like some boomer is going to need something like this in general. Love the product, would buy again if i needed it or if someone asks for a recommendation I will point them to this.

Works Great for Headless Setups – You’ll Notice the Difference
If you’re remoting into a machine without a monitor or not using a KVM, this HDMI dummy plug makes a real difference. It “tricks” the system into thinking a display is connected, so you get full GPU acceleration and proper resolution options. You can actually feel the performance improvement when using remote desktop or VR streaming.Setup is totally plug-and-play — no drivers, no hassle. It works well for my use case, and the build feels solid. Great little tool for anyone running headless systems, mining rigs, or just wanting smoother remote access.
