Be careful with these boots. I bought these for my elderly yellow lab. She needed additional traction for her rear paws. I figured that since they are Waterproof, they would be good for her in the rainy spring season. As with most dogs, she resisted putting these on and taking them off.I got them on one day and ended up leaving them on for 2 day's. After the two day's we noticed a very bad smell in the house. We washed everything as the oder or non descript. Still, we smelled this foul odor. Finally I took the boots off the dog and noticed that there was a large sore on one of her rear paws that was oozing puss. The boots were the source of the foul odor.Well, in the garbage they went. We have been treating my lab with antibiotic topical ointment and sprays.Bottom line,These boots really helped her, however they need to be removed several times a day to dry out when the dog goes out in the rain.
