Conversation starter with kids
This book is part of a set and I love that each one opens lots of opportunities to chat with and guide our kids. When invited to the classroom to read to a group of second graders, we chose this book and were able to engage the kids throughout by referencing the pictures and asking them to think of different "chances" they've had. I brought up topics of fear, bullying, courage, excitement...it's really a nicely written book with pretty illustrations that I think would work well for kids 5-8 years. The language is also easy enough the second graders could easily read it themselves.

Love this book
I actually bought this for myself for my own collection of children’s books. I love the simplicity of the writing. It speaks to any age really. I am also in love with the illustrations. Whoever put this author and illustrator together was genius.

I loved What Do You Do With an Idea
What Do You Do With a Chance?By Kobi YamadaIllustrated by Mae BesomThis is the third book from this creative duo. I loved What Do You Do With an Idea? And What Do You Do With a Problem? However, this is definitely my favorite! This exquisite picture book once again follows a little person as he wanders the countryside and on this adventure is visited by a chance. He wants to grab the chance, but has his doubts. Does he have the courage? What if he misses the chance? Would he feel foolish? The charming illustrations, as well as the questions the little guy asks on every page, provide so many opportunities to begin some wonderful conversations with your little ones. The story concludes with a thought we all need to remember, no matter what our age. “So what do you do with a chance? You take it...because it just might be the start of something incredible.” In fact, with graduations approaching, this would make the perfect gift!My advice is to run to your nearest bookstore or library and get your own copy of this special book. It’s certainly one you’ll want to add to your family’s library!

Wisdom for the ages
I read this book almost accidentally and while sitting in a car waiting for my friend. I ordered it immediately for my grandson. It sparked such a great conversation with him that I also ordered it for several adult clients (I'm a coach). It's inspiring, and any reader at any age can use inspiration. The rating is solely based on my grandson's ability to read. He easily understood the content and has added the term 'a chance' to his vocabulary.

Gave it to my daughter for Highschool Graduation
My daughter loved the book and cried! It arrived on time and in perfect condition. I read it to a kindergarten class the week before my oldest graduated high-school. I knew right away that it would be the right gift for the occassion (I also gave her Oh the Places You'll Go, of course). She loved this one and it was unique. Thank you!

Great book for elementary school kids
How do you explain chance to an elementary school student. This is a great book to read. It teaches young kids to learn how to take chances and opportunities before it’s too late. I found the concept of chance is even harder to explain to younger kids as they are in the process of developing their characters and learning how to take opportunities when it comes. I bought this along with the other books ( what do you do with problems + what do you do with ideas). Great book to keep at home.

Beautiful book. A lot to do with stoicism and the book Ryan Holiday wrote "The obstacle is the way". My 6 and 4 yr old sons love the story!
