At 52, post-menopausal, with dry skin that can also become sensitive, I do not approach strong exfoliating products casually. At this stage, I want smoother, brighter skin and better texture, but I also need to protect my skin barrier. That’s why products like this need to be used thoughtfully. When used correctly, I think this is an excellent at-home treatment. First, this is not an everyday exfoliant. It is a stronger peel-style product, and it should be treated that way. Personally, I use it once a week or every two weeks, depending on how my skin is feeling and what else I’m using in my routine. For me, that spacing works very well. The formula combines AHA, BHA, PHA, and LHA, which means it targets multiple concerns. AHAs are great for surface dullness and texture, BHA can help with clogged pores and congestion, while PHA and LHA tend to offer gentler exfoliating support. It’s a smart blend when you want a more complete resurfacing effect. What I notice most after using it is that my skin looks smoother, fresher, and more refined. Texture feels softer, dullness is reduced, and the face has that cleaner, polished look that comes after a good peel. Makeup also tends to apply better afterward. No, it is not a miracle product that changes your face overnight, but it absolutely gives a visible boost when used responsibly. Strong exfoliating products can easily go too far, so having soothing ingredients in the formula is a smart move. For mature skin, I think the key is restraint. More is not better. Over-exfoliation can make skin look worse, not better. Used occasionally, this can be a great tool. Used too often, it could be too much—especially for dry or sensitive skin. Who I think this is great for: dull skin, rough texture, clogged pores, people wanting an occasional deeper exfoliation, or anyone already experienced with acids. Who may want to skip it: very sensitive skin, compromised barrier, beginners who tend to overuse products, or anyone expecting to use this daily. I also strongly recommend following with hydration and sunscreen afterward, since skin can be more vulnerable after exfoliation. Value-wise, I think this is excellent because you need only occasional use, so the tube lasts. COSRX continues to make smart, results-driven products, and this is one of them.

This is my 4th COSRX product. I’ve been pretty happy with them all! I started with the essence serum. LOVE IT! Get it and use it twice a day. Then I ordered the .01 retinol. Together, fantastic! Your skin may get dry and start to peel slightly after some use. I just lay off the retinol when that happens. I ended up ordering the retinol serum next to up the retinol. You have to keep it in the fridge. I don’t know if I’ve noticed that much change with that one but something must be happening because my sister in law complimented my skin. So I ordered the overnight rice mask. I like that one. I love how my skin feels in the morning! I don’t wash my face with soap in the morning, I just rinse with water then use the essence before I put my moisturizer and makeup on. I saw this peel because I feel like I needed a boost. Light tingles, nothing bad. Rinsed off with water after 10 min. Omg LOVE the feeling of my skin after! Last night I used it for the second time. I left mine on a little longer than 10 minutes ( I’ve been doing peels a long time) and it felt great! No irritation or burning at all. You know your skin so listen to your skin. If you can’t do the full 10 minutes then take it off. You can always build up to it. Skincare is definitely not a one size fits all. So don’t try to be a champ. Do what you can and listen to your skin! I will also state after I started using the essence and seeing results I ended up ordering the 7 light therapy hand held device. That completely took my skincare to the next level! I have seen a huge difference in the texture, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. I usually use the light with my essence serum just fyi. I’m going to try the eye gel next I think.

Seems to work ok, my skin does seem a little more glowing the day after using this peel. I do feel a slight burning when I have it on, but nothing to bad. It is very red and goes on that way so dont be surprised by that. Haven't noticed a really major difference in my skin is the only reason for 3 stars. Packaging is user friendly.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: I have been using this exfoliator for two weeks and so far, my super sensitive skin is doing quite well. The formula is a reddish gel that you must work fast to spread out. You may feel the skin warming or tingling for a bit. I did the recommended patch test first. Seeing no major reaction, I applied it to the entire face for 10 mins and washed right after. If you have very sensitive skin, follow it with a rich and gentle moisturizer. I can see more glow and pores appear clearer. I will continue to use it and write an update.

Excellent product but package leaks and gets congealed. It’s a shame I couldn’t use all of what i actually paid for due to end crimp coming apart. Hence the one star.

I bought this as a first time user of any kind of peel or anything like that. It's so easy and works great! I did it by the directions first time and there was a noticeable difference. Now I've been using this for almost two months, biweekly, and I leave it on for 15-20 minutes instead of 10. My skin is so soft and smooth and blemish free, I love it. And it's easy to tell by the red color which parts of your face are covered and which parts you've missed. Please don't go beyond the prescribed 10 minutes when you first use this product, but if you need to kick it up a notch after using it for some time, I'd say it's safe to do so.
