Are we talking about the same product? Worked EXACTLY as advertised.I did notice that you have remove the Hersey jug opening cover from the pump which was on the middle lover half to the middle top half. You will see a nut has to be loosened and the cap cover placed under it so that with the nut the cover is tightened down and stable. It would have been nice to have some assembly instructions regarding this.No leaks.Little or no drips. I would suggest several shorter pumps instead of one big pump.Pump stem bottom half is a perfect length for a large Hershey's jug.Upper pump is pretty tall, When inserted, it is about the height of a wine bottle. So only suitable for taller refrig spaces.The cost of the item was exactly the price if you ordered the FREE pump plus shipping from Hershey's. Plus you have to fill out their PDF form and wait weeks for arrival. The FREE option is not really worth the hassle.Follow-up:After a couple of days of usage, put the smallest zip lock bag available over the pump spout as extra security against delayed leaks. But I noticed that when the pump is depressed and released, then the pump has a suctioning action which pulls most of the syrup backup the spout. That should lessen the likely hood of leaks too.

Fits perfectly on Hershey jug. Pumps smoothly. You will need to empty last 2/3 inch out of container where pump won’t reach when changing jugs. It drips from spout onto refrigerator shelf when sitting after use. Leaves a huge mess. Product creates a whole new problem while solving one.

The pump dripped between pumps otherwise it was fine

Although it discharges the syrup without too much trouble, though not always smoothly, after you are done pumping, it drools syrup, at least a tablespoon worth or more, for quite some time. Hence, your refrigerator shelf will be a sticky mess, unless you put a container under the spout to catch the drips and hope it don't get moved out from under the spout. What is needed is a cap or plug to seal the spout after you are done discharging the syrup. Since none is provided, you will have to improvise. This pump is either poorly engineered or executed, or both. If you can find a better pump elsewhere that mates with the threads of the syrup container, I strongly urge you to consider that alternative. The syrup is expensive enough, so this adds to the waste of product. Who needs that?

I agree with the person who mentioned the difficulty of installing it onto the jug if you aren't mechanically inclined (lots of pieces to put together to ensure it is sealed and not leaking).I, too, eventually figured it out. However, also as the previous reviewer mentioned, if you don't take the time to re-lock the pump immediately after pressing the pump fully, you will have no choice but to find a very tall area of your refrigerator to store it or lose a full squirt of syrup in order to press down to lock it after use. I have not had the dripping/leaking issue.

It’s missing the piece where it screws in the lid. I even had a mechanical engineer try it. It’s not worth the money as it false advertising and does not fit the bottle. Will be sending back and ordering a different brand.
