Do you like your hose lances to spray a little water in the direction you want, and the remainder directly in your face?! Then this is the lance for you!First time use, and it sprays water directly from the trigger area into my face. My guess is the rubber gaskets/washers are either terrible, or not there at all. The harder you pull the trigger the more water is lost through the handle which in turn loses nearly all of the pressure through the lance head.Would likely be a waste of time sending it back with it being such a cheap item.If you want a half decent lance DON'T buy this!

Given some of the older reviews (if genuine) then this purchase, even at a low price, was a bit of a gamble. (My previous lance has mysteriously disappeared from the garden so I don’t go for super expensive items).So, as soon as it arrived, I checked for any loose joints before connecting to a hose and gradually wound up the pressure to check for any leaks– OK – no leaks but very stiff getting lance on / off the hozelock connectors. Various spray patterns rate as adequate to good for the price (including couriered delivery). NOTE – you have to hold the trigger spray on (NOT lockable) . Good value for money, time will tell as to how robust the unit is after several years

The product itself is good when you finally get it working. In my case I ordered 2 and they were both leaking badly. neither had been tightened up well enough at the joints. In addition in one case an internal washer was damaged. I replaced it and all was well with that item.The other item was much more serious. The trigger mechanism incorporates a small washer which was loose inside and not doing its job. It is impossible to get at so I complained to Silverline and asked for a replacement handle and trigger unit. They would not do anything about it. Their excuse was that I had bought it from Amazon, not direct from them (though it actually came direct from them). A very poor excuse. So I paid for 2 and can only use 1. Not very satisfactory.

this is a very sturdy piece of kit the only problem that I have with it is that it doesn't have a function where you can just let the water spray on its own you have to keep hold of the trigger which gets a little bit tiring after an hour or two.having said that this is one of the best and long lasting garden hose accessories I have ever purchased and at this price it is an absolute must.

Overall this is a good and inexpensive spray lance. It has a number of quite a few different spray settings, the ability to increase or reduce the water flow to the nozzle and an on off trigger.I have to water flowers in planters located on a flat roof, about 9 to 10 foot high and the only criticism I would have is that when the spay lance raised directly upwards before watering, sometimes there is a trickle of water from the joint between the hose and spray lance. Apart from this I can not fault it.

If the item sent to me is representative of Silverline quality then I'll not be buying this brand again. After plugging it in and turning on the water, it leaked from every joint, once these were nipped up it seemed fine then suddenly the trigger stopped working. No matter what I did with the trigger water just kept pouring out. Yes, this was the cheapest on offer at the time from Amazon but I'd expect a little more than a 15 minute useful life.I will learn - "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR"!!

Silverline products are usually OK, so when purchased I believed the product would be better than the price suggests. How wrong I was . Yes it looked the part but tat was about it. All the seals were rubbish and had to be replaced. Just when I thought we had sorted it the plastic handle cracked along the joint..I had wasted too much time on this rubbish purcahse. Should have known differrent , Cheap price , rubbish product....

The lance arrived and I put it into store as it was too early to use outside. When I did unpack it it leaked so I told the sellers and they immediately offered to replace it and did not want the defective item back. The replacement leaked as well but when I looked at it the hose connector had not been screwed in tightly. I did this and the problem was solved. This also solved the problem with the first lance. When I told the sellers and offered to pay for the replacement they very graciously declined. I cannot fault the customer service.
