I have waited for years for an Indiana Jones figure of this quality that doesn't cost a fortune. It is still on the pricey end, its true, but it's worth every single penny! The level of detail and painting, especially on Harrison Ford's likeness is impressive. Not getting Ford's face "right" has always been a deal breaker for most of Indy's figures. This one totally nailed it! I was at first a little perplexed about the "highlights" on the hair, but I quickly realized it adds depth to the hair instead of being just a brown blob. The clever system of joints allows a great range of poses and after owning this figure for several months, I am still amazed. The little props (gun, fertility idol, medallion, satchel, etc.) are sculpted exquisitely. Highly recommended!

SHFigurarts did a great job with this figure. Indy comes with an alternate head and face sculpt and a number of different accessories that make this a versatile figure that can be posed in a variety of ways. You can make him smile, grimace and look stoic. His hat is removable allowing you to display him with it on or off. His arms can be swapped and his jacket removed for a jacketless Indy. The whip is sculpted and looks great. The included coiled whip fits into a slot on his waist and has a plug for when you want him to be displayed cracking the whip. His holster can't be opened but it's not a dealbreaker. He also comes with a headpiece for the staff of ra as well as the golden fertility idol. The idol itself has a slot allowing it to be held by one of the alternate hands. The sandbag is also sculpted so that Indy can hold it. If you take the jacket off you do lose the butterfly joints limiting his articulation somewhat but it's not a big deal. In terms of scale he is a bit shorter than the Hasbro Indy. The Hasbro Indy is a fine figure in itself for the price. If you want more than just Indy? The Adventure series offers more characters with some noticeable gaps in the line. If you just want a single Indy figure? SHF Indy will fit the bill nicely. Or...you could go for both and the SHF Indy doesn't look terribly out of place with the Adventure series figures or the Temple Escape plinth.

I cannot say enough good things about this figure. The packaging looks like a movie poster, the sculpt of the figure is accurate to Harrison Ford and the amount of accessories is fantastic. I haven't even gotten to the ridiculous amount of articulation this figure has. If I'm nitpicking, I wish he came with a pair of gloved hands to recreate the truck chase sequence, but other than that, this is truly a perfect action figure. This is one Doctor Jones that actually DOES belong in your museum! S.H. Figuarts knocked it out of the park.

For the record, I'm a fan of Hasbro's 6" Indiana Jones Adventure Series - they offer a lot of detail and value for the money. However, when comparing this figure to the equivalent Hasbro Raiders Indy figure, the SH Figuarts blows the Hasbro out of the water. Everything, from the accessories to the articulation, is better on this figure. And that's not even mentioning the *uncanny* facial sculpt of Harrison Ford, on all 3 different interchangeable faces. The likeness is absolutely incredible. On top of that, this figure lets use it with or without the leather jacket and fedora - something you can't do with the Hasbro. Obviously, this is more than twice as expensive as the Hasbro figure, but if you can afford it, it's well worth the price difference.

This is a certified banger of a figure right here. And it being my first shf figure and one I’ve wanted for a while, I can say with confidence that it’s as valuable as the artifacts Jones collects! The standouts of this piece are the headpiece to the the staff of Ra, and the smiling faceplate; giving you ample opportunity to recreate the re-release Raiders poster. Another pro is that despite being in a ever so slightly smaller scale, he can go perfectly with the Hasbro adventure series. Some cons are that the the whip holder part is really small and you can easily lose it. The whip is good, but it would have been great is it was wired. And the process of popping off the arm is a bit scary for the inexperienced. One more con and this goes for all SHF figures, is that they don’t come with stands or bases. All in all, this is the perfect Indiana Jones figure, aside from the 2011 comic con exclusive, and the upcoming Hot Toys “Temple of Doom” Indy.

Forget the Hasbro figs (which for mainstream figs are actually pretty well done), this is the figure that blows them out of the water. Better sculpting, smoother articulation, and great accessories. Plus he can be displayed with or without his leather jacket, and with or without his iconic hat. That plus three great expressions make this the ultimate Indiana Jones figure. Jonesy isn't exactly the most "toyetic" of characters, and it's likely we've seen the last movie, so this may be the best we see for quite some time. I'd recommend picking him up while you have the opportunity.

This is an amazing Indy figure and the likeness is spot on. That grinning face is the selling point of the figure. It’s one the upcoming Mezco one lacks. This figure blows away the Hasbro ones and if you aren’t into cloth goods, this is the ultimate Indy figure. I give it all the stars possible. Yes the I jacket arms don’t have as much articulation, but it personally doesn’t bother me as much. It’s still a fantastic display option to have without needing to buy another figure. His gloved hands from other scenes in the film are missing as they are with a lot of Raiders Indy figures. These should of been included as well to take it to the next level.

I bought this on a whim. I am a fan of both Indiana Jones and S.H Figuarts. So it seemed like the perfect gamble. I am so glad I bought it. This is way better than the hasbro offering. (Which in of itself isn't a bad figure.) He scales perfectly with the Adventure series. And with the included accessories, you can send Dr Jones on any adventures you can think of. Great figure. Highly recommend. Plus, he looks great in pictures.
