Works great!
This works great for my purpose. I use it in the backyard and chip balls up to 30 yards away. I like it because it's heavy and doesn't slide. I also like I can gently press it down into the lawn with my foot to give me a more normal lie. I was afraid the ball would sit to high on this while on the grass, but that wasn't the case. Seems like high quality. Only hit about 100 balls so far, but I'm really loving it!

A compact and heavy mat for outdoor use. Not as great for indoor.
Its a really nice heavy mat for it's compact size. I use it in my backyard to practice swing so I don't destroy my yard. It's fairly heavy and stays in place as long as I don't strike it fat. I swing with the mat long ways where the tee holder is up front and the angled "callaway" part is in the back. This helps the mat stay in place when I hit it fat. I have tried it the other way and hit the thing fat so hard to where it flew upside down 3 yards and knocked the tee holder out. That didn't phase it and I have concluded this thing is indestructible. The tee holder is a nice feature over the rubber kind that usually comes with these. I purchased brushed tees that pair well with this. It is great for outdoor use, but not as good for indoor. It does have a very strong chemical odor out of the box which pissed off my wife (ewww what's that smell). Also, it does not stay put on laminate floors very well (which is to be expected). Due to it's small size, I don't feel as confident swinging indoors because I'm afraid I will miss and hit my club head on the floor (again, I'm not the best golfer so this might not affect you). I would definitely recommend this for outdoor use, but would suggest a bigger mat for indoor.

Excellent Build and Durability!
I use this mat A LOT! I use it all the time when I go out to the driving range which is several times a week, and when I go, I'm hitting balls for over 2 hours each time. After 2 years of use, it's still going strong. Pro tip- when using it, don't place your ball any further back than mid-way. This will prolong the life of your mat. I learned this the hard way with my first one. I had "chunked" my iron shots with the first one, and it caused a separation of the turf from the underlying rubber bottom. Purely my fault; not a lack of quality with the mat. Having learned my lesson, I now place my ball in the center, or more towards the front. Now that I made that change in ball position, this mat can take a serious beating of thousands of balls without failing. It has a convenient eye-hole at the front end, so I hang it up in my shed when not in use. If there comes a day when I've finally worn this mat out, I won't hesitate to buy another one of these. I tried a Maxfli mat from Dick's Sporting Goods (cheaper than the Callaway), but the build quality was HORRIBLE. It started falling apart after 1-2 uses. But I can't say enough about how well built this Callaway mat is. Still going strong after 2 years!

Yes, Tee Off!
This is a great stable way to hit practice golf balls without tearing up the lawn. It is good quality and has performed well. Easy set up and pick up.

Held up okay after a couple of months of light use.
So I've had this for a couple of months now. Decent compared to some other cheap alternatives on Amazon, but its not perfect. Area is fraying a bit in the middle where contact is made off the deck. Tee holder has held up well so far and no complaints. Small version is pretty small and tends to move on full swings. I usually use it to chip in doors now that its winter... great for that. Durability is def a concern on full hits off the deck. However at the price, I would buy again.

Nice practice mat
I bought this to practice my swing on my balcony, but I also use it out in the yard to avoid tearing up my lawn. Some reviewers complain about the thickness elevating the ball so your feet aren't at the same level, but realistically, how often are your ball and your feet at exactly the same level on a golf course? You need to be able to adapt to height differences anyway.I was initially concerned about the small size, but it may actually helps me focus my swing plane better. I use it lengthwise (long edge pointing toward the target), which helps with the swing track and avoids swings coming in too low hitting the edge of the mat. I don't know if that's what Callaway intended but it works well for me. The tee insert seems to work fine, but for irons, I remove it and position the ball in the hole it leaves. This helps me to focus on hitting down on the ball, as you'd need to do out on the fairway.Overall, I'm happy with it, although some people may want the larger size. So far, though, aligning the long edge with the path of the swing seems to give me everything I need. These things seem a bit pricey for what they area, so going for the larger one seemed like an expense I just didn't want to spring for.

Quality Golf Mat
I've had this hitting mat for over a month now. It was purchased at the urging of my wife so that I would not wear a hole in the rug taking practice swings in doors. It is heavy duty and very solid feeling. It's the perfect size, especially for my indoor needs. I try to get in 20-50 practice swings with a 7 iron every day along with some random wedge and chipping swing practice. This thing shows zero signs of wear after a month of this use, and I am now expecting it to last for years. The rug I hit it on is thin and on a hard surface, so this mat does slide around a bit on full swings that would be taking a divot on normal turf. I don't have to readjust it on every swing and it doesn't bother me when I do have to, but it's worth mentioning. My only other issue is the smell. It smells like a tire factory; doesn't stink up the room or anything, but if you toss it onto a blanket or something like that to store it then you will have a rubber smelling blanket.Excellent quality product and I'm very pleased that I bought it.

Small
Quality feels ok and so far no major problems but it’s pretty small even though they market it as XL or something.

Qualidad
Muy buena calidad, la talla es suficiente. La parte inferior es muy pesada y hace que se quede quieto. Si lo pones sobre césped probablemente te dure el mayor tiempo posible. He golpeado unas 600 bolas con él y no veo ningún desgaste.

Perfect for winter golf
Tried several mats from friends before purchase. Sturdy mat, short crop grass, good weight so does not move. Like playing off summer fairway.
