Makes a good cup of buckwheat!
Exactly what I expected! It's the little buckwheat kernels. One bag is good for one cup of 'tea' and you can even eat the buckwheat too, if you want. It has to ship all the way from China, so it took a little bit, but it arrived with the large bag and all the tiny bags inside, keeping it fresh. Mild roasted flavor, smooth and obvious buckwheaty.

Just what I was looking for
I fell in love with buckwheat tea while in Chengdu last year and have been drinking it everyday since. I can't find the brand I bought there and so have been trying different brands through Amazon. This is the best tasting I have found and also the best smell. It has a nice nutty taste I was looking for.

Enjoying the mild roasted flavor of this tea however the individual packaged pods are bothersome and serving amount is too much. I was hoping for a more economical alternative to Sangye tea but the search continues as the taste can’t be beat!

Great tea
This tea has an interesting buckwheat flavor. I've had a buckwheat tea before and it had a completely different flavor but this one seems to be even more rich. Thanks for the nice tea.
