If you want "The Ultimate" and are a Power User, This is a Fantastic Product
This really is a fantastic device. It has a list of effects several pages long which can be coupled with color modes ... really, it's nearly endlessly configurable. It's the way all of these devices should be: Just grab a great open source ESP8266 firmware[0] with a bunch of features and sell *that*. Skip the custom app (or often just secretly white-label Tuya stuff under the hood, so "Smart Life") and give me something I can "do what I want."Likely if you're looking here you're looking for a device that works brilliantly with Home Assistant. And it should come as no surprise that it does because WLED and all of the other open-source ESP-32/ES8266 based devices (like ESP-HOME) work brilliantly with Home Assistant. The effects are not just plentiful, but extremely varied. This isn't a "We have 100 effects, but they're really just 6 which we let you use 5 color modes with". You slice up your strip and mix effects, synchronize across other WLED devices, music/sound sync, and there's *pages* of effects which can be used with *pages* of baked-in color options (most of which are very well designed) with the option to roll your own if you're not happy with the choices (or download templates...).It shipped with surprisingly recently firmware (beta, at that) and was easy to upgrade (get the 8266 binary). It was a little less pleasant to setup than most current generation IoT devices, electing for the old-style "connect to the temporary AP and pop in your wireless credentials", which they improve slightly by not making the published AP "Open", but rather requiring a (well known) default password. Once it's up, though, Home Assistant discovered it, I configured the number of LEDs in my string, set up the max voltage and Bob's Your Uncle.... The fireworks effect is really neat.[0] Mine was an ESP8266, not ESP-32

Did not last
I purchased this plug n play controller because I didn't want to solder anything. It worked out great and it was easy to use however just after it's return date it just stopped working. So sad. I guess I am going to have to solder after all.

Good WLED Controller
This is a really nice controller for wled. I had a quick project I wanted to do, which was put RGBIC lights around a firepit I was building. I didn't feel like doing a total DIY project with an ESP32 or another controller, so I got this. It was really simple to set up, just plug in the led strips and power supply and Boom! Just make sure that you get the right power supply for your leds.

Amazing!
The media could not be loaded. This works extremely well, the only issue I had were the directions were kinda vague and hard to understand, but all you needed to do was go into your phones wifi, connect using the password, and then go to the wled app, search for the device and connect it to the wifi, boom worked flawlessly!

Connects to Home Assistant.
I bricked an Athom LS2812B trying to update it after it wouldn't connect to HA. Bought this controller in a pinch and got it connect to home assistant without an issue.

Press to connect input wires, good idea, terrible in execution
Like: easy to install if you follow the directions provided.Love WLED,Bad: press connect buttons are a big pain in the a$$. Small gage wires just dont grab and slip out easily. Once you press down on the connector there is no going back - cannot reset them (one and done)The press connectors are so bad I had to pop off the cover and removed the circuit board. Soldered directly to pc board

Good controller ruined by bad hardware decisions
The push in wire connectors are terrible and should just be basic screw terminals. I ended up having to disassemble the entire thing to fix the push ins to make them work properly .

Excellent all-in-one WLED controller for all voltages
Bought this to run 12V WS2011 LED strips without needing level shifters and power regualators for the ESP since this is all in one, and honestly, great decision.this is a really nice little package device that can run two strips off whatever voltage 5-24v and still power the controller and signalling properly without needing any additional hardware for a VERY nice and clean install.I will for sure be buying more of these in the future for other projects

Not exactly as ordered but it seems to work.
The unit that arrived was in a GLEDOPTO box with a Ericsity sticker over the front label. The device itself is also branded as a GLEDOPTO. It appears to be the exact same hardware so it's probably the same device but without having a properly branded unit to compare with I can't say for sure. The instructions were sufficient for me to get it connected to my network and Home Assistant recognized it right away.
