Great transition solution,
I chose this safely transition from a LVT floor to the adjoining clay tile set on backer board. The height difference was 3/4”. The elevation change needed to be gradual to look right and be safe. I undercut part of the door stop on both sides and cut the trim to fit, I found it easier to cut with a razor blade and straight edge. I cleaned the area and peeled the backer from the adhesive tape as I worked it into place. Sticks great and Works great so far! As others have mentioned it comes rolled up and can take a bit of time to flatten out, the adhesive seems like it would hold if you didn’t have time to let it relax. I had some time and went ahead and placed a dowel rod all the way thru it to help flatten it, couple days later it was slightly curled on the very end but that end got cut off and was fine. Also as others had mentioned the partially hollow inside structure I fished a foam caulk backer rod thru the larger opening for additional support. So, nice wide piece to gradually taper the 3/4” height change and ample lip to smoothly cover the tile, note the lip over the tile did not have adhesive. I saw others that did, I thought about adding attachment tape to it but did not think it may be more flexible and conforming with it, so far so good.

Attractive and Effective at Keeping Cat from Destroying Carpet
Bought this to transition between bamboo flooring and carpet in bedrooms. One of our cats was tearing up the carpet at the edge where it meets the wood flooring, so we thought to add this to keep her from ruining the carpet. I was worried about the color match, but it works well with our dark cinnamon-colored bamboo. The width is just right to keep the cat from reaching under a closed door to scratch the carpet. It also gives it a more finished look. I wondered if the tape used to attach it would stick, but so far, so good. It's a small thing, but it looks good and is working to keep the carpet safe from the cat.

Use a heat gun to straighten before applying.
Sticks but was rolled up and had to be held down or it would roll up.

Good overall purchase
Easy to install overall, the hardest part was probably getting it to straight out. What I tried was taking it out of the bag, rolling it up the opposite direction and put it back in the bag to try and sit that way. Then I laid it on the floor with weights. This seemed to help, but still very curved, and was able to install it pretty easily after. Once it installed it stayed straight, thanks to the strength of the adhesive. It looks great in the transition with my grey LVT floors, and feels like it should be pretty durable.

Good idea but comes loose.
Was quite happy initially, but after a couple weeks the adhesive started coming loose. Now I have to figure out how to keep it adhered.

Good molding alternative
This molding was easy to install. Worked great for bridging the gap between two very different heights of surfaces. Fit my need perfectly and looks good.

Arrived at 2 separate lengths that needed joining
Item arrived in 2 pieces. The item looks good quality but why not send one whole strip. Having to join both pieces together makes the item look cheap and detracts from the finish.

It works perfect for a robot vac
I was reluctant to buy but so happy I did. My main reason for purchasing this was so my Roomba could transition floors easier. It does perfectly. I read the adhesive strip on the back wasn't adequate, but I had no problem with mine. The adhesive strip on the back was as wide as the trrm, which, in my opinion, is the way it should be. Some advice ... it comes rolled. I rolled my the opposite way & let it set. This made the installation easier. Lastly the instructions day to use scissors to cut. I didn't make a perfect cut. I'd use a razor knife if I did it again

We used this strip to transition from vinyl flooring to carpet. Worked well. I don't think it looks cheap. Looks fine with our setup. I'll address some of the negative reviews and share a couple things I did to make sure it functioned properly. First, I saw people complaining that the adhesive didn't stick. To make sure you have complete adhesion, prep/wipe the floor with isopropyl alcohol where you are planning to stick down the strip. This will get rid of any surface contaminants. Second, use a heat gun (or hair dryer on the hottest setting) to slightly pre-heat the adhesive before sticking it down. Be cautious with a heat gun as it could melt the material. You just need to warm it up. You don't need to heat it up to a point where you can't handle it with bare hands. The other complaint I saw was that you can't unroll it completely. This, again, isn't true. I rolled mine in the opposite direction and gave it a little heat with a heat gun and it straightened it right out. To trim it, I just used a sharp pair of scissors. They worked fine. Hope this helps!

I bought this for a stepdown from the toilet to the bathroom floor, as the stepdown was exactly a half inch it fit perfectly, it lies flat and the chosen colour matches well with the vinyl tiles and bathmat.
