Just what I was looking for!
This little umbrella stand is just what I was looking for - it's stylish, unobtrusive and fits perfectly in the corner next to our front door. It was also very easy to assemble, well made and the bottom part of it is heavy enough to make it very sturdy.

Practical but stylish umbrella stand
I'm pleased with my purchase. It's a sturdy umbrella stand with a strong base so I don't think it will fall over. I like the fact that it can fit both large and compact umbrellas, and that it doesn't take up too much room in my small porch. Highly recommend to others who are looking for a practical but minimalist and stylish stand.

Maybe a bit too small..
Package arrived quickly and easy to assemble... the umbrella holder is far smaller than I thought, it literally disappear in my corner. I checked the measurement but until you see it I think is difficult to picture it in your head! So if you want something bigger go for something else!

Très bien
J’aime bcp. La base est lourde, design sympa et discret. Bien sûr ce n’est pas pr mettre 10 parapluies... exactement ce que je cherchais. Super

Quality design & simply practical
Was looking for a convenient stand to hold umbrellas in my small entryway (had no space to open and air dry; didn't want to walk around the house with a dripping wet umbrella; previously resorted to leaving them in my boot tray or bathtub). I didn't want to drill another hook into the wall. This was the best solution for narrow spaces. Minimalist design and practical. The stand is easy to assemble and isn't too heavy to move around. Water drips into reservoir with zero spills or leaks. Good quality: doesn't tip over, isn't flimsy. Nice, airy look...not bulky. Easy to clean. I like the fact that it can neatly hold multiple small and large umbrellas together (something to note when guests come over with their wet umbrellas). Naturally allows air drying without having to keep the umbrella sprawled open.My only quibble was the price. Fifty bucks?? Yikes. A bit steep. I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives but this stand solved several problems in one shot so I got it. No regrets.

Minimalista

Nicer quality than expected!
I tested out 3 umbrella stands for the very small space in my condo's hallway. The first was the Smart Umbrella Stand in White by Yamazaki. The design on that is very nice and it's quite heavy, but it doesn't fit large umbrellas. The umbrellas must somehow be smaller in Japan than they are in the United States. So, that had to go back. I then bought both the Yamazaki Layer Umbrella Stand in black and the Umbra Holdit Umbrella Stand in black. I tend to be a little skeptical about Umbra--I've had some things from them that haven't been well made. But of the three umbrella stands I've tried so far, the Umbra Holdit is the best. The Yamazaki Layer is nicely made of metal, and it would fit any size umbrella, but it's a little tippy on carpet. It isn't weighted very heavily on the bottom. If you have an entirely flat floor that's not a big deal (like a hardwood) but the carpeting in our hallway kind of bulges a little where it meets the wall, and that wasn't stable enough for the the Layer stand. The Hold-it has a heavy, ceramic base (I had assumed the base would be plastic, but it's not, yay!). It feels more well made than I thought it would from the picture--I sort of assumed it was lower quality, but it's not. The "arms" are also sturdier than I had thought they would be. Finally, the Hold-it takes up less space, which in our situation is kind of important. The base is only 3"1/4 inches wide--Amazon doesn't list the width of the base, just the length and height. If you like a more minimalist design and have limited space, I think it's a pretty good bet.
