Great value ๐ฏ
I used them all last year and a little over the winter inside and let me tell you they work great and getting both of them are such a wonderful price you can't go wrong here high quality and the wick seems to last forever. It doesn't hold a lot of fuel but it will definitely last year through the day and night.

Everything you need in an emergency. Reliable!
These are Great little lanterns. I own 6 of them. Inexpensive, and work like a champ. Nice, bright, stable flame. These 2 were my second purchase .

Leaks fuel if filled past the staight wall of the tank.
Works well enough, its fairly wind resistant, it'll blow over before the fire goes out with a leaf blower.

Filled with paraffin oil to the line, after approx 12 hrs, still burning brightly!
Seems to me an excellent choice for a mini - hurricane oil lamp! After opening package and inspection, followed use directions, trimmed wick, (just a few strands so to be a tight woven ribbon cotton wick), filled to line, lit the oil soaked wick and has been burning through late afternoon, and is over night now 12+ hours later, ...still lighting the area same as when I first lit this lamp! Seemed a bit flimsy, when taken our of its box, but I've no complaints, the stainless steel heavy gage wire handle is excellent to keep one's fingers from being burnt, (gets very hot, as one would expect, so caution!), yet when handle is in its down unused position, is totally out of the way! BTW, in this first use test, after lighting it then carried around a bit, 0laced onto my wood stove, (safety first!), while lit, at 5pm (ish), now 5:50am, still burning as when I first lit this inexpensive hurricane oil lamp.. No idea, as to why it's referred to as a farmer's lamp, but this I do know, for being a seemingly cheap emergency light source that produces a bright enough flame to get around in the dark of night, with its efficiency costs of long burning oil, (paraffin in this case, but in emergency cases, could most likely burn lessee fuels, kerosene, diesel, perhaps but with a larger amount of smoke, not usable indoors, I think it would burn vegetable oil, even engine light weight oils... I don't typically go overboard in reviews, but for the price, it's just as good as a much more expensive oil lamp, return on investment, ...no doubt, you'll get what you paid for, as well as an very efficient way of having stand-by emergency lighting, or just plain saving yourself batteries costs, as a regular light source.. "with reasonable care", I'd conclude at this point, the versatility of this lamp and regular daily use, ...will be serviceable for many decades! However, all that said in my humble opinion, this us old school, centuries of history in designed use, is not something a child of young age should be handed, until after being taught for at least a reasonable amount of time how to safely use responsibly, if at some age appropriate that has shown consistently as a responsible young person, say 11 - 14 yrs age! parental responsible care should be in place for children's sake and safety, and the child's able use.. it gets very hot, and is a burning flame that can start very easily, a house fire, barn, garage, forestfire, etc., please, comprehend it's not a flashlight! ***Responsible use: IS A REQUIREMENT!**** No offense to those who are responsible! Just redundancy! Be safe, and God Almighty, bless you and yours!

Dangerous Product
These things are dangerous, DO NOT buy them. During a power outage i used them for a few hours one evening. I extinguished them and went to bed. The next day I found them sitting in a puddle of lamp oil. Good thing they werenโt lit. That could have burned my house down. They are cheaply made and evidently leak and should be removed from the market.

More decorative than practical
Number one, it is NOT large. More of a junior size. That said, due to a recent power outage, and not wanting to run down batteries on my emergency lights that are positioned around the house I broke out these. I had bought two. While I have some glass hurricane lamps for emergency use, I don't like walking around with them, so thought these would be good for that. They only sort of are. I discovered upon putting lamp oil in them that you absolutely must NOT fill above the indicated line or you will have lamp oil seeping out the poorly welded seams where the side supports meet the base, which means they don't hold a heck of a lot of lamp oil. It also means you must be careful when walking with them that you don't let it slosh much in the base. Because of that, they're better used as stationary emergency lighting, which they accomplish just fine. The mechanism to lift the glass portion in order to light the wick works just fine and they provide sufficient light. Just don't expect to use them for anything else because they aren't rugged enough.

I've just got the thing and got fuel/wicks for it today. Works very well with kerosene from my tests. I've read many reviews about how this thing is flimsy and it leaks over time. I knew this going in and was prepared to seal up the cracks and fix it myself, but I have been pleasantly surprised so far. I filled the base to the fill line with Kerosene, and shook it around a bit after the wick had time to soak, but lot a drop leaked out of it. It also seems fairly tough and rigid. Now, it's definitely not SOLID metal, but it still seems to be well made, and feels fairly tough. I've also read reviews about the wick guide being of poor quality, but again, it seems fine just for me. Seems easy enough to use. I'll update my review if anything negative happens, but for a $22 lantern, you really can't ask for more. I'm loving this thing so far. Incredible.
