I've randomly tried to find Hulachews for my mom most of my adult life. She's always talked about how her and her brother would walk to the neighborhood candy store and buy these for like 5¢ each. They were originally made by Brach's.She said they weren't quite the same texture, and they weren't quite the exact flavor (it was decades ago, she probably just hyped them up in anticipation), but she enjoyed them, and said it's the closest thing she has found. I did a bunch of research on the original Hulachews, and they were made with 2 types of coconut. I think these are only made with 1 kind.

This product arrived with a conspicuously missing expiration date. No doubt because it was HARD AS A ROCK, and obviously well past its sell date. If you let it sit in your mouth for a few minutes, its possible to eventually chew it. I imagine that fresh this item might taste pretty good, but not as a rock it doesn't! Beware!
