Made a nice quick bar, screw heads are soft.
These made a stylish quick bar above the microwave. Put some of my top shelf liquors on them along with my laser cut bear lamp, looks pretty hip for being so inexpensive. Quick and easy to install (about 40 minutes to do it right), used the anchors on those spots where there was no stud to fasten into, they worked out just fine. Shelf is good and sturdy, no problems. Each shelf is probably holding about 25 Lbs of booze right now, no sign of anything letting loose. Despite the wood feeling a bit like balsa, it actually is quite strong once assembled. Mine are mounted "up-side-down" with the supports holding the shelves from on top, rather than the bottom. When the screws are fastened in, there is plenty of bite on the threads to hold up everything this way. As long as you don't use them for monkey bars, they should be fine.. I wanted my shelves mounted this way so the bottles wouldn't possibly vibrate off the ends of the shelf. Of course, there's not much to keep them from falling forward, but now the shelves have been up for a few months and nothing bad has happened. Overall, I think these shelves are a pretty good little value. They look minimalist, but yet classic at the same time. One complaint though, the crews were too soft to be screwed into the stud with a screwdriver, so I substituted drywall screws for all the wall mounting screws. The screw heads just strip out too easily. The supplied screws work fine for the wood, though. Other than that, very nice.

Drill Pilot Holes. Good product.
The boards weigh almost nothing. Maybe Balsa wood? However, once assembled it is pretty sturdy considering it will only hold some pictures/ very little weight. Ensure you drill pilot holes into the wood before screwing into. Use a drill roughly the diameter of the screws minor diameter so that only the threads of the screw are catching the wood. You will have to screw in very close to the edge of the wood, so this is critical to avoid splitting the wood. I recommend drilling 3/4 of the way throught the board as a pilot hole. Take a piece of painters tape and wrap it around the drill where you want to stop drilling to go 3/4 of the way through the board. Also, i figured out the design i wanted ahead of time by placing pieces of painters tape the size of the boards on the wall first so i could see what it would look like. Overall I like them, and the price was good.

are you handy?
Do you have a drill? You will wish you did when you assemble this itemI received 3 boards, brackets to hang and lots of parts and screwsI had to mark the boards myself and drill a starter hole and then assemble and hope the wood did not split and I did not drill drill too far into it as I am not a seasoned wood worker. The boards are flat and straight and I got the brown stain, the smallest shelf is one shade lighter than the other 2.I suppose they do not mark the screw holes as they don't know which way we want to hang the shelves but they could have marked the front and back, right?still it is more work than I wanted, would I buy it again? yes because it works for the spaceI am NOT using the plastic molly bolts they provide, those things are a nightmare.I am using the brass colored "nails" sold to hang pictures

Not bad, but self-assembly required
Was not aware I’d need to completely assemble it myself, right down to pilot holes for the hardware. You’re only given raw boards and all the necessary hardware, but it’s not assembled and there are no holes pre-drilled for assembly. If you want to assemble it, you’ll probably need a drill handy, a regular screwdriver won’t be enough in most cases.

Plastic anchors are trash
The shelves are great and easy to assemble the only issue was the plastic anchors that come with the set. Had to go to Lowes an pick up a sturdy anchor. Otherwise product would be 5 stars.

Attractive looking, but one issue
These wood shelf boards are very light and not durable, so handle carefully. I had one board that had a few wood pieces splintered off. My suggestion is, to sealant or varnish all the boards. The stain is a nice colour, however, they are untreated wood. I used a wood oil to help preserve them. With that being said, they are easy to install and have attractive black brackets.

Cute and cheap
Look at the picture, It’s really cute eh!!. I like the design, they are simple, cheap and pretty. However, there are flaws. If we would measure angles they wouldn’t be exact. In fact most shelves have flaws. Therefore, this is perfect, HAH! I would def buy other ones if i DIDNT have several maple and pine slabs in our shop waiting to be sanded, stained and installed.

Meh
It’s not good material and assembling it was kind of a pain .Doesn’t hold much , maybe a small candle and a light plant . I tried to place four books on the shelves as a decor but it wasn’t sturdy enough .It’s too much of a hassle to return so I’ve just kept them .

Cute!!
These are so cute. Filled the empty spot above my toilet in the bathroom perfectly. Don’t know that I would put anything super heavy on them but they definitely serve their purpose and are so cute!!

Nice enough
Good thing about these shelves is there are no pre-drilled holes so you can place the brackets where you please. The not good thing about these shelves is there are no pre-drilled holes so using a power tool to get the tiny screws to hold the brackets in place is a pain as the wood is quite hard to use a screwdriver (at least in my opinion). Not sure if they were worth the $$ as they're just plain pieces of wood with brackets but they're still nice.
