Great book on manhood. Brian does a great job of breaking each "mark" down and giving you practical advise.

This book is amazing for young men. It is easily readable and the author gives lots of examples and stories to illustrate his point. This really made my son think about what kind of man he wants to be and if has served as a tool for us to have conversations. Great job Brian Tome!! You hit the ball out of the park with this book. I give it to all young men in my life.

In an age of selflessness, self-gratification, YOLO, self proclaimed truths, and only watching out for yourself, men have fallen into a trap of the devil. Boys need to grow up and be men no matter their age. That’s the way God made us and it’s how we thrive and how society thrives. Read this book for yourself and read it with your son.

Lot of what the author has to say resonated with me and is a very valid book for and towards becoming a mature Christ follower. Hence my objection that this book is not just for men and these five marks are a mark for any mature follower not just for men.

I love this guy. I love this book, I have purchased a bunch of copies to hand out to acquaintances. I recommend this practical genuine Bible based guide book to any person looking to grow a genuine relationship with the Lord and live a more wholesome rewarding and fulfilling life, free from judgment, condemnation, and religiosity. Yes, I said, "everyone" including young boys, men, girls, and women. You need this book. Simple read, very practical, real world related suggestions and solutions for real world issues. Entertaining, and personal, the author reaches out to you where you are at, and pulls you into a desire to be more. More human, more Christian, more Man, more Forgiving, more Understanding, more Genuine. This book gets my HIGHEST recommendation. Period.

I’d never had even herd of the man !!! It was fascinating!Not your typical pastor!I love how frustrated Brian was at the end of this motorcycle adventure to Phantom Lake!His frustration and honesty are so refreshing!Just like his book!Men are really going to enjoy the read and then hopefully understand more about themselves . Not a preaching book . 😊I liked that !HONESTLY FROM A MAN AND AN EXAMPLE for all. 🌎 I ordered this book for myself to understand more about the men (Boys). in my life .😘Then I immediately ordered 2 more to give as gifts. 😊To all the boys who think they are men .Read this ! After attending two Man Camps (1500 men camping for a weekend, unplugged from technology and diving into fellowship and Jesus) I was excited to get my hands on Five Marks of a Man. This book is a great outline of identifying your boyish ways and transforming them into manly positions. Real men have a vision. Real men take minority positions. Real men are team players. Real men work. Men are protectors. Not only does Brian Tome give those philosophical and Biblical reasons for you to wonder how they apply to your own life, he gives you real life experiences and stories to connect the dots. At the end of each "Mark" he presents challenge questions to dig deeply into your own situation to stimulate growth. These questions help kick these lessons into gear by helping you wrestle with your own situations and how to act towards aligning those with with what God wants for your life.This book provides value in a lot of different situations. It's great for individual men both young and old, as he states there are 15 year old men and 45 year old boys. It's great for men's group study. It's even great for young women who are ready to date, setting a great standard of what to look for in a husband. It's definitely worth the read and even more so to share with a friend or family member.
