Great
Really strong tack. Perfect for sticking black wires out of the way.

Strong, sticky, leaves a residue.
I bought this to hold down smallish hi-fi components - some are too light to adjust, or insert and remove a headphone plug without them moving even when stacked. Black Tac works very well, I've used remarkably little to stick the components together and to the table. There's some movement but I think adding a bit more will solve that, I guess at ยฃ7 for three feet I was a bit stingy when applying it!. Just handling it leaves a black stain which means that although it can be removed with isopropyl alcohol, I'd be wary of what I applied it to just in case it left a permanent stain. When it comes to remove it Blac Tac doesn't behave like Blu-tac. It's tackier, softer, which means it doesn't always come off in one lump. It's kinda stringy and needs more care in removal. Overall it's very good stuff to have around. When Blu-tac or even double sided tape isn't suitable then Black Tac will probably do the job. I haven't tried to secure anything that heavy but for my purposes it's invaluable. Four stars because whilst it's very useful stuff, it can be a bit of a hassle to handle and is a tad pricey.

This stuff is brilliant!
Using to hold things in place and even took the risk of using this on its own to hold a couple of test motors with propellers in place on a board. They didn't budge a mm and I still have limbs. Excellent stuff!

Pricey but it works well
Bought for a specific task which it was applied to and works very well. Used to have something very similar to this I was given when working on an action TV series helping out the special effects guys years ago. They referred to it as magic putty as it's very sticky and can be painted over to hide it without waiting for it to set. Funnily enough on the package box it does mention " as used by professional photographers and film cameramen". A little goes a long way.

Disappointed
This product claims to be weatherproof, but it definitely isnโt. We had a light sprinkle and it lost all tackiness.

I needed it for my HiFi, and I only could find blue or white TAC. Finally I found this and it's great, it does not leave traces and sticks perfectly to anything. Easy to remove and easy to stick. And there is enough TAC for the rest of my life ๐
