Large Wooden Crate Apple Box Storage Display Unit with Shelf Vintage Style

Not too keen on the dark colour that’s been applied to the crate I received, the result almost looks like it’s ‘wood effect’ - rather different and much less attractive to my eye than the one pictured. I spent a long time choosing for the aesthetics so I’m a bit disappointed. Aside from that, it does do the job, seems sturdy & well made, the extra shelf inside is also great.

This is the second time I’ve purchased this item; the first time was a few years ago.When the item arrived from my first order it was in perfect condition and looked exactly as pictured. I have since started using it as a bedside table/bookshelf (see second image) and decided to order one for my partner as well.However, when this one arrived it looked nothing like the picture featured.The wood is cheap and a pale yellow by comparison to the original dark wood and has not been sanded down or finished so is rough all round.It is obviously not made very well either, as it looks as if this one was made in a rush; both the under side and the top pieces of wood have been drilled wonky/unequal, making uneven gaps between each plank.I don’t know what went wrong this time round but I’m very disappointed, I paid a lot for both altogether and it isn’t what is advertised or what I have received in the past.

Love this crate, prefect size for the limited space I have at my front door. It fits 2 pairs of my women’s size 6 shoes per shelf, bigger sizes you’ll probably only fit in one pair per shelf but it looks great, does the job and arrived really quickly.

Good, solid construction, nice coloured finished. My husband cut the one we bought into two and added a new back to the second part to create both a case for cookery books and a spice unit. Both look brilliant!

Used this for a shoe rack, it holds six adult pairs of shoes. Fits perfectly in the small space I had to put it. The wood is darker than I expected but can always be painted.
