Baltic amber is used as a teething aid for infants. Because of this, every two beads on this necklace are separated by a small knot, to keep them from getting lost or choked on, in any case of the necklace being cut or damaged. The turquoise beads may be howlite rather than real turquoise, but it certainly has the right colour, and the colours coordinate beautifully.

Love the necklace, but unpolished seemed to work better for teething.

I didn't realize these were from the Baltic sea area. I'm using them as suncatchers. I can string a number of them together with ease because of the screw clasp function. Comes with certification.

This reacts like glass to all my amber tests. I question if it is truly amber. As it is, it is far too short to wear alone. If it were even a half inch longer, it would make all the difference. I have ordered three amber necklaces recently and they are all different brands, yet somehow they all screw together at their ends to make a longer necklace if you desire. This one is just a touch longer than the other two and it barely fits around my middle of my neck in a very choking and uncomfortable way. I would honestly pass on this currently amber trend. Not impressed. Way too short, and also too hard to tell if they are real. This one doesn't even burn, it just resists the heat and behaves like glass.

The necklace I received was much darker in color than the one pictured - I know amber comes in different colors, so it could very well still be real amber, but I was anticipating a much lighter/yellow color. Also, this necklace is EXTREMELY small - it clearly states in the listing that this is not for kids under 3, but I can't imagine it fitting anyone older than a toddler. My 11-year-old daughter (who is super tall and skinny) could barely fit it around her neck. (I will probably see if I can remove a few beads and convert it to an anklet.)

The necklace is child size and of good quality. The clasp is nice and the beads are knotted to keep them in place and prevent swallowing.

Real amber necklace! I tested it with UV light, the necklace glows like real amber would! A beautiful and eye-catching piece of jewelry. I love how the color becomes warmer and clearer as it hits the sunlight! It's an adorable fire color to warm up your mind on colder days! The necklace is well-built and looks like handmade.BUT! I didn’t realize this necklace is only 13 inches long. I am a very thin girl and have a very skinny neck but it’s still too tight on me. Unfortunately, I can’t wear it. I wish it was a couple of inches longer. The length of the necklace was in the description, so I don't fault the seller. But how many adults could wear a 13" necklace? Do pay attention to the size to be sure you could wear this necklace. I have thin wrists too so I can use it as a double wrapped bracelet, and it looks gorgeous.

I have had several different Baltic Amber necklaces. This is probably one of the prettiest I have owned. The beads are super glossy. You can see through the beads where they are so shiny! We get a lot of compliments when our toddler wears this.
