The Set of Two KooK Ceramic Coffee Mugs in Navy Blue are not your standard coffee mugs. Although these cups hold 14 ounces, they are much shorter than expected. This is because the diameter of the cup opening is 4.63 inches wide, making these mugs more of a soup/food mug and less of a coffee mug. Reason being, the wide opening causes your coffee to get cold rather fast, whereas the wide opening for cooling soup down hot soup is preferable. These microwaveable and dishwasher safe mugs have a wide handle, making them easy to hold, even for those with larger hands. They are ceramic with a white glaze on the inside and a navy blue on the outside. The glaze is shiny and smooth to the touch.Pro tip - The Amazon ad states these cups are: oven, freezer, dishwasher, and microwaveable safe. Personally, I never freeze ceramics, put them in the dishwasher, or leave them soaking in dishwater, as this can damage them. Just a small hole in the glaze can let in water in. If the item has water in it and you freeze it, it will crack. Dishwashers and allowing ceramics to soak just provide opportunities for water to find a way under the glaze. So washing and rinsing quickly will help to give your ceramics a longer lifespan.Overall, the Set of Two KooK Ceramic Coffee Mugs in Navy Blue are nice soup/stew mugs with a nice large handle. They are well made and they seem to have adequate glaze coverage. I will not use them for coffee, as I like my coffee hot and these cups not only cool the coffee faster, but the large opening makes them more prone to spillage if using as a coffee mug. I also believe these cups are WAY over priced for what they are. Therefore, I gave them four stars, removing a star for their very high price point.

I love this set of mugs. They are not only really nice looking but they feel nice in my hands. I am so happy to have found a stylish mug that is also practical.They don't get too hot. Making them great for coffee.The wide mouth also makes them great for soups. And the fact that they are wide instead of tall is the biggest plus for me with my clumsiness. These mugs are hard to knock over. Trust me, I have tried.
