Dropped it once and now it won't charge...
Worked great until I dropped it once when I was pulling it out of my pocket. Now it wont charge.Edit - Probably the best customer service out of any of the companies on Amazon. Without even saying anything to them they got me new working lighter within a couple days. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Great lighter, works in the wind, rain etc, holds a good charge and looks cool too. Love that it's a type C charger too so don't have to carry another cord.

Dead In five weeks
The lighter worked great for about five weeks. I got it on January 11, and here we are in February with it not working. I went to charge it tonight, and it looked to charge normally, but when I unplugged it, all the lights stayed on, and it would not ignite. Maybe it was a fluke, but return time is up, so take this as a warning.

high tech lighter for the modern age
The media could not be loaded. I'm a huge fan of this type of plasma lighter that has a thick arc. I've been using one for the past 2 yrs, an older style that has a micro USB port on it that you can also see in my video. These thick arc plasma lighters can be hit or miss as far as getting a good one. So far, this one seems to be a hit. The lighter body is nice and solid, identical in size and shape to my old one. The gloss black color is a fingerprint magnet but compared to the colorful version, it has a more subtle look. This lighter has a USB C charge port which is a nice upgrade from my old lighter with micro USB. Hopefully the USB C port will be more durable than the flimsy micro USB.As far as battery life, it has been good, it also seems to suffer from the same phantom power drain that my older lighter also had. When you use the lighter a lot in a short period of time, it will appear to drain the battery quickly (going down 1-2 battery bars). It's really just the battery indicator not being able to keep up and showing less power than it really has. If you let it rest for several minutes, it'll show the correct battery amount. These are best used in short bursts and allowing it to rest between uses, it takes a lot of power (and stress on parts) to form and maintain the plasma arc.

Convenient as ever
Bought this after my bic died at 5 in the morning. I told myself never again and I love this thing. Great for lighting anything really. There's no flame to burn your hand when you have to turn it upside down to light a candle or something. Another safety feature is that you can't activate it with the lid closed. Battery isn't the greatest but should last all day for a smoker. Charges pretty quickly from zero battery. Enough to light something after a few minutes. Charging to full doesn't take too long either.

Great lighter. Larger arc!
This is a very good lighter. I have several arc lighters. Most of them have some point I like a lot. But this one has a couple things that stick out for me.First, it feels heftier than the others. The only thing I can think of for extra weight is a heavier battery. Which, as with all electronic devices, means longer use between charges. I charged it from 50% to full in under an hour. The one thing different with this one is that is charges with a C type USB connection. No big deal, because it comes with a C charge cable included. But if you have your "favorite" micro USB charger, just know it won't work. I have to admit, though, I am liking the C type better because there is no upside down way to insert the plug. Might seem like a minor thing unless you are like me and hate the puzzle of getting a micro into the plug.Another thing I really like about this lighter is that the switch to turn it on is a positive press-click button. Seems like many arc lighters have a touch-sensitive on/off button. Another plus is that when you let go, the arc goes off. And it will come right back on with a push rather than having to close the lid and reopen it--a hassle I don't care for.Upon opening the lid, it has the standard battery meter; 25, 50, 75, and 100% on the front just under the ignite switch. You won't get that from a Zippo. My usage for lighters is mostly for lighting sticks of incense, and this works great for that. But the one thing this one will do that I have so far NOT been able to do with other arc lighters is to light a pipe. The arc is wider than most and the posts are a little taller and enables the arc to be "sucked down" into the bowl to light the pipe. To pipe smokers, this is a great improvement for arc lighters.Of course, it will do all the normal things one might use a lighter for: cigarettes; piece of paper to light the trash; or lighting some wood shavings to start a campfire. And the larger arc will easily light a candle if your electricity goes out.I purchased the black lighter. It is also available in the multi-color style, too.I know the vendor for these and he is very trustworthy and accommodating if, for some reason, you have a problem. A couple years ago, I had a problem with a different style lighter and the readout. They took care of it immediately. I have said before that customer service is EVERY bit as important as the quality of the product itself. So, if you are in need of a lighter and would like to get away from the messy filling of fluid lighters or just don't want to fill the landfills with more plastic Bics and Crickets, this will be a great unit for you to own.Keep breathin' folks.

Works, has good size battery
Good looking and easy to use. A little larger than I expected but it rides easy in my pockets. BIG Arc! Very nice. Battery lasts me a week or more.

Faster Then a Butane Lighter-Thanks!
The media could not be loaded. Pros:• Lights regardless of weather.• Light weight.Cons:• Plasma conductivity doesn’t arch enough for smooth transaction of lighting up, which proves difficulties in adage to the top lid not fully hinging to a lot for lighting up a cigar full diameter.• Charging to full capacity doesn’t display at a hundred percent, matches are a favorable choice for a back up should the light run out of energy.• Lighter developed a short with only one time power-up usage, before closing lid then reopening.

Strong arc, works well.
Good lighter, would recommend getting 2. Use one while the other is charging. Fast shipping, good customer service.
