Great integration into car environment
For older car models that do not have integrated carplay, this item along with a carplay display combined turns it into a modern vehicle. This unit in particular is affordable and compact, so as to not increase the clutter in the car extensively.

Works until it doesn’t
I have it installed in my 2020 Ford F350 with a wired CarPlay capable audio system. The system is stock. The original stock systeem works great and the Bluetooth connect to the audio system flawlessly. I have been using the Sunweyer for about a month. Setup was actually pretty easy. The wireless CarPlay after initial set up via Bluetooth and the WiFi setup instructions was pretty easy to follow.Reconnection and startup takes about a minute after the head unit is fired up and the connections is automatic to the phone. Utilizes Apple Maps, Music, and Sirius XM apps pretty easily. The interface on the mobile device and the head unit works nicely. Both respond quickly and efficiently.Here’s the kicker…”the Gripe”… The screen freezes on the head unit. I have not been able to pin point the reason why and what Initiates the error. The only way I get the head unit to respond and to interact with it is to unplug the Sunweyer Wireless CarPlay unit from the USB port. Once unplugged…I plug back into the initialization and startup runs its process.Once the startup is competed, you can operate just fine. After short time, the screen freezes again. The unplugging and replugging and the starts up all over again. This continually happens after about 10-20 minutes after the startup. I have given up with this wireless CarPlay adapter.The overall unit is sleek and compact. Small footprint and doesn’t take up any room at all on the console. I’m close enough, it sits right into a little “cubbie” out of the way and secured. Durable and solid.for my application, it doesn’t work. It’s not convenient and a safety concern to unplug and unplug the nit constantly on longer drives. Short drives to the store is just fine. Anything longer than 15 minutes is jus not feasible.

1. Takes about 20 seconds to connect for every times.2. Youtube and Netflix need Hotspot connect to them for play, but I don't want extra pay for over usage Hotspot from my carrier.3. Getting hot 🔥 while using.4. Audio and video is not matching so when I watch video it's very uncomfortable.Trust me just don't get it if you need this just for Youtube or Netflix.
