I Will Never Go Back!
This is the real deal when it comes to blending! We have always been a "nutri-something or other" kind of family and thought that was where it was at. Sadly, those had a tendency of the motor burning out and perhaps more annoying, the bearing in the blades wearing out. After two blenders and five replacement blade sets, I think it is safe to say that I had had enough. After some research, we settled on this model as it is on the cheaper side but also had plenty of good reviews.BLENDING - If you are switching over from a cheaper product like we did, you will notice the difference immediately. I remember avoiding a too much fibre in my smoothies before because of the gunk that would rise to the top. Always made me think of pond scum for some reason...With this, there is none of that. The blender will make short work of that and the consistency is silky smooth. On the rare occasion it is not, I just blitz it again (top tip for green smoothies, to decrease separation of the liquid when left to stand, just add a tablespoon of chia seeds! You're welcome).NOISE - This baby is loud! But then it needs to be to do the work it does. It won't make you deaf and you can stand next to it as you blend but you will be aware of the noise.CLEANING - Simple enough to clean. I thought it would take me longer to clean than the other brands I alluded to but if it does, it is marginally so. I mostly just rinse it with warm water and a cleaning sponge or soft brush.SERVICE - Very good! So a month after buying this it wouldn't blend a smoothie I was making (spoiler alert - I added too much stuff!), so I went online to their chat via the Amazon page and the guy on the other end was super helpful. Also, he didn't make me feel like a fool for overloading it, just calmly talked me through it. So if you find it stops for any reason. Just empty it, put some water in and try again. If it works, you know that you have put too much in or the blending setting is not suitable.

Very good
A very good and powerful device. I'm satisfied with it. There are 3 downfalls so for us after a 1.5 years of uldsily use.1. The lid is not easy to clean. There are small, hard to reach gaps which I can't even get to only with a drinking straw cleaning brush2. It's so incredibly loud when used full speed. My ears almost need to pop after usage. I would definitely look for a quieter device knowing this now.3. At the beginning had an issue with the jug. It wouldn't connect to the "smart" base. Rung the vitamix helpline and they sent me a replacement jug immediately. It was delivered in a day or two. All has was fine sice a couple of weeks ago it started losing connection again. For about a week it's been completely unusable and the customer service is taking their time this time around. Blending is almost my lifeline. Honestly, Im starting to regred purchasing Vitamix.

Too clever for its own good
When it works, it’s great. But as many others have pointed out, the jug and lid ‘sensing’ technology is unreliable, which makes this frustrating to use at best and utterly useless at worst.Half the time, it doesn’t sense the jug is in place and is therefore completely inoperable. In the middle of making batches of soup (for example) you’re forced through an endless performance of removing and replacing the jug, wiggling it around, wiping the base, removing and replacing the lid, trying again, switching it on and off again, removing and replacing the lid again and eventually - half the time at least - just giving up completely. It’s a nice idea (which of course has the added benefit of ensuring only their very expensive proprietary jugs can be used), but it’s half baked and unreliable and in the end only serves to make the whole experience of owning one of these disappointing.Save yourself a few hundred quid and get something simpler.

Brilliant
AS expected, brilliant - even better than my old one (which lasted 17 years). Very much like the new shape, the pre-set programmes and new lid. Using it almost daily. Very pleased and worth the money.

Highly recommend
What more can I say.I've been using vitamix blenders all along.Needed a new one as I recently moved to England and would require a step-down to use my old one.Vitamix is a great blender.I can't live without it period!

The best blender you can get
It’s awesome for cooking soups and making smoothies. It can blend pretty much anything and the preset programs work great

It is so easy to use.
I have the vitamix for about 4 weeks and have made smoothies, nut butter, as in cashew and peanut butters. I have made butter (dairy). And have made hot soup using the hot soup program. And a cold fruit dessert. I love it have been wanting one for quite a while so decided to treat my self. Glad I did.

Really Good
It’s one of the best house hold blenders in the market. It’s pricy and lucky bought on monthly payments with Amazon to easy headache of spending so much in one go.It’s an investment piece which will pay off in couple of years. With more accessories to use.
