Needed a night light and picked this one out. Very easy to put together and good quality! I love how it comes with a remote and it can be operated by battery or plug in. Also, you can adjust the brightness level so it's not too bright. Very relaxing and calming watching the jellyfish inside the lamp. Definitely was a great purchase.

Worse visual version of jellyfish I have seen. Also no bubbles or movement even after running it for a while.

This lamp is so much fun to put together with your kiddos!!I was curious and couldn't tell if the Octopi in the lamp was painted on the jar or if they were free floating.THEY are FREE FLOATING!!!This has a removable lid, so be sure that you have this someplace that is stable.You get all of the items needed to construct this but the 2 drops of detergent.Yes, you will need two drops of detergent to put in the water.You will also need to remove any air bubbles the Octopi get when you place them into the solution.They do supply the extra long stirrer so you can knock off any air bubbles.This also comes with an instruction sheet and care guide!This light runs off batteries or you can use the power cord!!And it comes with a remote control.With the remote you can change the color of the lights.You can change the light mode as well!And did I mention the Octopi are free floating?!?The detergent that gets added creates this neat marbled effect in the water while it's on!This has been a lot of fun and I would recommend this!

Basically you just put batteries in it, sell it with water, add two drops of detergent and then drop in your two jellyfish. Once you turn it on they start floating around and you can change the light settings. It looks really cool! You do need three AA batteries for the unit itself and then an additional two AAA batteries for the remote. I understand it not coming with batteries for the device but I've never gotten a remote that comes with things like this with no batteries so that was a little ridiculous to me but whatever. It also comes with a long stick with a tiny spoon on the end so you can push your jellyfish down in there and get as many air bubbles out of them as possible. Overall it is really cool!

The size, the appearance, the remote.. this product is a huge win! I would 100% buy this as a gift for someone knowing they would enjoy it as much as I do.

I went to Aquarium of the Pacific during this holiday. Jellyfish is the most exciting part to me. I wish I can have a tank of jellyfish. This small lamp makes my wish come true. I placed it on my desk next the monitor. I know it's not real but makes me so relaxed.
