its a selfie stick, something i never thought id buy, but i like using my go pro to record under water without going in the water myself. this should do the trick. more sturdily built than expected

Not for me
This was an impulse buy via Slickdeals. My fault for not reading more carefully, but I just looked at the pictures and I thought oh cool, it comes with a tripod! But nope, sadly it does not. It just has the ability to be attached to a tripod. Honestly though, this selfie stick is way too big for my taste. It's definitely not discreet at all. If you want a heavy duty selfie stick, then this is for you.
