I bought a new plastic shed from Costco, which I had to build. So I decided to buy this padlock along with an internal PIR alarm for protection.This padlock is excellent...!! The 'U' bar comes out completely, and you insert it one way for it to be alarmed, and the other way, to just be a normal padlock.Insert the key when the U bar is in the armed position, and it beeps 3 times. Keep messing with it, then a very loud alarm sounds. If you mess with it, or try to force it, the alarm sounds.It is excellent build quality. I have paid more for a box standard alarm than I have for this one. I am looking to buy another one, so I thought I'd leave a review. Do NOT hesitate.

These are good sturdy locks, very well made. The 110 decibel alarm is quiet loud and would be ideal for a shed or bike as it’s loud when activated but unless a small garden you prob wouldn’t hear it in the house through double glazed windows, but the activator who sets it off would get a shock ; so it’s a great deterrent and draws attention

The alarm doesn't last if its left outside

Very pleased with this alarm lock for my shed. Going to order another one for the garden gate. Loud enough especially at night and resets its self and would sound again if lock moved (vibration).

Very solid, alarm works well and overall very impressed. Too early to judge how weather proof but all signs looking positive.

Easy to use, good alarm

10 weeks old and battery compartment rusted. No use outdoors! and that's in the summer. Rubbish product that isn't waterproof
