I absolutely hated when my truck felt sluggish when switching from V4 to V8 and this little device is just plug and play so very easy to install! It has worked flawlessly so far. I have only had it for a couple of weeks so far but very happy with this purchase and highly recommend! Truck isn't sluggish anymore, no unnecessary shifting which is hard on transmission etc. Say goodbye to all VVT problems with this device, you wont regret it and itll make your vehicle pays and components last much longer without any unnecessary wear and tear. Works good stays in V8 mode. It's been plugged into my truck for 3 weeks now I've had no problems The battery is strong I would buy it again if I needed it.

My suburban runs great with this 'Tuner.' NO it is not a tuner yet by Turing OFF the 8-6-4 mode on my suburban it has run far better and I do not have the fear in the back of my mind that we will have engine oiling or lack there of issues. Plug and play. I did a 2000 mile road trip in my 2105 suburban with a 5.3 in Early July (Hot) with this plugged in I averaged just over 20 MPG. We drove 75MPH mostly on interstate. with some sleep in the car times with engine running. I think the mileage was slightly better than what we used to experience before we installed this. The smooth running was far superior to what we used to experience. EASY and terrific modification to our 2015 Suburban.

I bought this product and was a little leery because the price was so affordable but I will tell you I plugged it in immediately worked I do not notice any problems with any shifting in the RP in issues. That thing works as advertised. I highly recommend it and can’t believe it. I actually did its job for the price. Fantastic product.

i had the cat start giving me warnings of "below threshold". general online searches showed average cost of cat replacement was around $3K. a few of the forum discussions i read pointed to one of the causes of these issues is the AFM (active fuel management), as it disables cylinders and allows stuff to blow by into the exhaust without being burned. going farther down that rabbit hole, i read about the other side issues caused by the afm regarding lifters, etc. this little unit simply bypasses the afm. so the truck doesnt go into "V4" mode ever. many in the forums mentioned this might negatively affect mpg. after 3 months of driving, the check engine light doesnt come on (maybe due to this unit inhibiting it, maybe due to burning cleaner, idk), and my overall gas consumption has increased by about 4mpg. at any rate, the only negative i have seen so far is minor...the 4 blue lights showing the unit is working is kinda bright at night, but it hasnt bothered me enough to throw tape on it. so...it is a bit pricey for the relatively little it does, but it works as intended so far... update 2/23/25: still on my truck. i dont think it affects mpg much at all really. i put this on just before i got new tires, so my observations before were probably skewed due to that more than anything. this unit still inhibits afm as intended. lots of research points to the afm causing lots of collateral damage over time. i dont notice any changes in the way the truck runs, idles, etc., because i dont believe it is supposed to. it just stops it from deactivating cylinders. looks like a lot of reviews from folks who were expecting lots more horspwrs. this will hopefully give an increase in years of performance. i dont blame GM as much as i blame the govmint, as per usual.

Would not recommend. First 3 or 4 days truck had better response, fuel mileage and no rough idling. After 4th day as truck was idling, speedometer started bouncing, engine started miss firing. I immediately pulled AFM out of OBD port and truck went back to normal. I shut it off plugged AFM back in and started truck, same result after about 5 minutes. Don't try it.

It does not come with instruction, you have too leave it plugged in. It works great, I have not seen any milage change. I have not been on road trip yet

Has been working great in my 2018 GMC sierra 5.3L V8 It shifts better. Fuel economy is a little better... Went from 1L - 5km to 1L - 7km but that's just bonus. The truck no longer goes down into v6 mode and it runs A LOT smoother. No more shifting up and down for every hill on the highway. Set cruise and it just hums along at at 1300ish rpms the whole drive. Should save my truck from the known stuck lifter issues and wear on my transmission.

Was gonna get my 2015 Tahoe tuned to delete the AFM, but seen this for $60 figured I'd give it a try, and so far so good, it's got alot more balls taking off no more lacking power, I had a shake when I was in drive or reverse and was fully stopped and in gear, after plugging in this bad boy she cleared up, saved some money going this route, been in for few days so hopefully it keeps up

First off I’m voicing this review so if there’s grammar errors, I’m sorry. I have a 2018 GMC Sierra with AFM and I hated it. I finally saw a video online telling me that I need to get this computer chip to cancel my AFM. And it was for range tech technologies, which was about $200-$300. I gave this company a shot and I’ve not been disappointed yet. It hasn’t cut out once or dropped into four cylinders once I’ve been using it just over a week on the highway in the city and I’ve had no problems literally plug-in play. As for the production of the vehicle being in V8 the entire time I’ve actually noticed that it improves your gas mileage because in a 5 km span you can easily go in and out of four cylinders and eight cylinders 20 times each time you come out of four cylinders your engine rev is super high and it’s obviously not good for the engine to do that or the transmission so this is a must buy. I’m very impressed. Save your money and buy this one. I live in Canada northern Canada and I’ve had no problems.
