Awhile ago I purchased the SYOKAMI Butcher Breaking Knife (10.5 Inch Japanese Style Curved Carving Knife) and it has quickly became my favorite kitchen tool! This knife is an absolute gem for anyone who loves cooking, especially for meat prep. One Minor Flaw: The wooden handle, while beautiful, requires occasional oiling to maintain its finish, especially with frequent exposure to water or meat juices. It’s a small trade-off for such a high-quality knife and easily managed with proper care.

Tremendously light, but sturdy. Very sharp. Easy to use. Looks nice. The grip texture is good, but wondering how well it will hold up over time and use/washing. See second picture for close up of handle. Wonder the same for the sharpness. Great value. Seems like a great purchase after the first few uses.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Very sharp, cuts partly frozen roast like it was soft butter.

I started purchasing bits of this set little by little when I can afford them. First, the quality is amazing and I've never been happier with a kitchen knife purchase as I have with these knives. Trying to cut a big giant brisket is difficult with a small knife but this bad boy owns the task. I do recommend wearing safety gloves to keep you from accidentally cutting yourself. Especially if the knives you are used to were cheap and small. Huge difference with these. Super sharp!

Price - it's good for the price.I am not in love with the edge of this knife, it is good enough but I wouldn't call it "good" but I've used it twice and I really want to put the stones to it. It is pretty, high carbon, the shape isn't horribly offensive the handle is kind of chunky if you don't have giant meat paws (I do so I like it)I own shun knifes for my chefs knifes and compared to those this is wildly underwhelming, but at 1/5 the price you should expect that.It wasn't stupid sharp out of the box and I kinda like it.

This is not just a brisket knife. It can easily slice meat, bread, and paper thin tomatoes for your sandwich.
