A Stunning and Razor-Sharp Kitchen Essential
Awhile ago I purchased the SYOKAMI Butcher Breaking Knife (10.5 Inch Japanese Style Curved Carving Knife) and it has quickly became my favorite kitchen tool! This knife is an absolute gem for anyone who loves cooking, especially for meat prep. The high-carbon stainless steel blade with its Damascus pattern is not only gorgeous but also insanely sharp right out of the box. It glides through big chunks of beef/ brisket, pork, and chicken like butter, making slicing and carving effortless and precise. The 10.5-inch curved blade is perfect for larger cuts, and the balance feels just right, even during extended use.The wooden full tang handle is a standout feature—ergonomic, sturdy, and beautifully crafted, it fits comfortably in the hand and adds a touch of elegance to the knife’s overall aesthetic. The Damascus pattern gives it a premium, artisanal look, and the included gift box makes it an ideal present for any occasion. I was also impressed with the quality packaging, which ensures the knife arrives safely and adds to the gifting experience.I’ve used it for everything from breaking down roasts, whole primal cuts or big blocks of cheese, and it performs flawlessly every time. The blade holds its edge well, and when it does need sharpening, it’s easy to maintain. For the price, this knife offers incredible value, combining functionality, durability, and style. It’s a must-have for any home chef or BBQ enthusiast. I’m already considering buying another for our RV camping trips! Highly recommend this SYOKAMI knife for its craftsmanship and performance. One Minor Flaw: The wooden handle, while beautiful, requires occasional oiling to maintain its finish, especially with frequent exposure to water or meat juices. It’s a small trade-off for such a high-quality knife and easily managed with proper care.

Surprised
Tremendously light, but sturdy. Very sharp. Easy to use. Looks nice. The grip texture is good, but wondering how well it will hold up over time and use/washing. See second picture for close up of handle. Wonder the same for the sharpness. Great value. Seems like a great purchase after the first few uses.

Perfect for a big brisket
I started purchasing bits of this set little by little when I can afford them. First, the quality is amazing and I've never been happier with a kitchen knife purchase as I have with these knives. Trying to cut a big giant brisket is difficult with a small knife but this bad boy owns the task. I do recommend wearing safety gloves to keep you from accidentally cutting yourself. Especially if the knives you are used to were cheap and small. Huge difference with these. Super sharp!

I kinda like it
Price - it's good for the price.I am not in love with the edge of this knife, it is good enough but I wouldn't call it "good" but I've used it twice and I really want to put the stones to it. It is pretty, high carbon, the shape isn't horribly offensive the handle is kind of chunky if you don't have giant meat paws (I do so I like it)I own shun knifes for my chefs knifes and compared to those this is wildly underwhelming, but at 1/5 the price you should expect that.It wasn't stupid sharp out of the box and I kinda like it.

Excellent knife
This is not just a brisket knife. It can easily slice meat, bread, and paper thin tomatoes for your sandwich.
