Please read if water is still running back. Maybe this will work
Worked as intended, I did place the the check valve after the bubble counter, because if I placed it before the reactor Im using sucks out the bubble do to negative pressure and couldn't measure the bubble rate. Reactor would suck out the gas out the line.Ps -Is you have water running back in the tube1- wrong tubing that doesn’t handle high pressure and leaks. Tubing should be thicker and stiff vs the soft thin kind like for air stones or petco tubing etc.2- recheck all connections for leaks. If the air leaks out then the pressure leaks and water runs back in.

What I needed
It's a brass check valve for co2. I challenge you to find one that's as available, and affordable as this one. I've not noticed any back flow for about 6 months, I guess. Since new.. So, I bought another co2 kit and this check valve--again. So, I suppose one could say I've built a modicum of trust with it.

Expected more
Valve did not arrive in any sort of packaging, just a bar code sticker attached to the valve itself. So far it doesn’t seem to be working, which makes me think I was sent someone else’s return. I would not recommend it.

Works great! Love the secure tightening nuts!
Works great! Seems to be preventing backflow. Tested backwards just to make sure ;].The tightening nuts work a treat. They hold the tubing on very securely. I used this with the AQUATEK CO2-Proof Tubing and had no leaks or issues of any kind.If you get similar tubing, I would recommend boiling a mug of water in the microwave, and then holding the end (about the last inch or so) of the tubing in the water for about 30 seconds. The tubing becomes very flexible, and can then be put on very easily. Depending on your tubing, this may not be necessary (or recommended).

Must have for any aquarium tubing.
Peace of mind. I dropped a new airline tube into my tank the other day and wasn't paying attention. It created it's own siphon and I ended up with about a cup of water on the floor. No damage but, boy, it reminded me how important these things are.

Sturdy, but doesn't work properly.
Built sturdy, but valve didn't function properly. Took excessive pressure to initially "reopen" the check valve each day. After evening CO2 solenoid shut-off, gas then would not flow through the check valve the next morning until I doubled the line pressure to 60psi, then it opened fully. I'd have to manually readjust the pressure back down to my target delivery rate every morning. Never had this issue with other check valves.
