At last, she tried it...and seems to like it!
We got this cat bed two weeks ago for our newly adopted cat. My fault, it was sitting on a not stable place the first time she tried to investigate it, so it wobbled and she jumped out and hadn't looked back. However, tonight - after it has been sitting on our stair landing next to her scratchy box (the Scratch Lounge, awesome!) for the last two weeks - she climbed in and settled right down into a cozy bundle. Our cat is a medium size frame-wise, but she is a lump at 20 pounds (we're working on that - she came that way!). Other reviews are correct - it is not a stable thing - it leans if they rest back on the edges, so it does need to bee someplace where it won't roll off and/or has some support. Think of it more like a sack than a bed...either way, the lumpy kitty crammed all 20 pounds in there quite comfortably and seems quite cozy and content. The texture is indeed counter-intuitive - it feels a little scratchy to a person, but it's nice and thick and the cat seemed to really dig it, so I'm sold.In addition to the low price and the neutral color, we also liked the fact that it's made in the USA, packaged in recycled materials, and the packaging was as minimal as possible (no plastic or Styrofoam - just a cardboard sleeve). The price is low enough that we felt okay about test-driving it, figuring that if she ended up not using it we could donate it to the local cat shelter. However, it looks like it's staying, so we'll just have to give them something else instead!Follow up: After the first couple of times she got in the bed, she gave up on it - now that we've had her longer, we've figured out that the likes to be cozy, but also spread out (feet out, etc). The stability thing was an issue, as well. However, she loves the material the bed is made out of. I undid all the seams, folded the side piece in half lengthwise and stitched it back together, and lined the inside of a wicker basket with it. She was actually sleeping on top of the round bottom piece the whole time I was working on the side piece, and as soon as I added the bottom piece in to the basket she got right in and has been in ever since. Easy modification and again, that fabric...she really, really likes it.

The favorite spot in the house
My two female cats love these, one male likes it, and the other male likes to tear it up (mostly to annoy the female lying inside it!) They are basically made of fiberfill, but they seem to like the texture a lot and it gets them very warm! I unfold the edges of what you see on the package so that it is a much taller cup and I lay it on its side so it's like a little cave. The only trouble is, after a couple of weeks of use the opening of the "cave" starts to slump, but I made an easy fix of it by getting some wire from the craft store and threading it in and out to give it some strength. They are so perfect. One of my girls sleeps in it every single night. In the morning she is toasty warm and purring up a storm. I have purchased a few of them and keep buying new ones - last time it was such a good sale that I bought five extra so we won't run out for a long time! Not that they fall apart quickly unless you have a cat that likes to rip them up. If I manage to keep that from happening, these five will last me years. Also possibly worth mentioning - they come in either dark gray or white. For some reason all the cats prefer the white ones. You can also get a square pad of the same material. All my cats like to lay on those (or tear them up), but the "pods" (as I call the Kuddle Kup) are favored by far! I'll try to remember to post some pictures. They are pretty messy in these pics. Every few years I buy new ones.

Eh. So far, the cats don't use it.
The cats do not like this bed, but perhaps that's because it is now summer - and here in Tennessee, that means it's in the 90s and humid. They'd rather hang out on the balcony than curl up in a wooly-type of bed. I'll leave it out for them; they might decide they like it come November or December.I wrote my original review (above, with a three star rating) in May or June 2015. It's now December 2016 and the cats have decided they love this thing. I've put it through the wash at least twice - be warned: it falls apart! Big chunks came off of it each time I've washed it and everything else in the load with it was covered with little tufts of white fibers. At the moment, this is flattened out on a shelf, with the bottom of the 'cup' curled against the wall so the cats' backs don't touch the wall when they sleep on this.I doubt that I'll buy this exact product again. When the product finally wears out/is too dirty to keep, I'll likely buy Mysterious Purr Padd Cat Cushion, Charcoal, 2 Cushion/Set again. Those are flat pads, useful for lining a crate (or, if you're me: lining the inside of a carry on suitcase so that the cats can comfortably sleep in the suitcase while it's stored under the couch). They are made from the same wooly material that this Kuddle Kup is made from (same vendor, too).

Keeps hair off clothes
I love these beds because they attract shedding hair! Best beds ever

Cats say 5 stars.
Exactly as advertised. The cats immediately snuggled in when I showed them their new beds and after a while (15 minutes or so) I picked one up and she was warmer than usual. Seems like the claims are true. Both cats are average housecats at 9-10lbs and they fit comfortably. Probably wouldn't work well for the larger breeds like siberian or Maine coons unless they like to curl into really tight balls. There's isn't a lot of structure to these, but my cool dude lounger seems to manage alright - if a bit embarrassed about his half-complete haircut.

my dwarf rabbit doesn't like it
It is cheap and pretty well made. My bunny didn't like it though and started chewing and ripping it right away. I immediately took it out of her cage. I should have known better, but I have read that some bunnies like beds. Would recommend it for a cat for sure.

Not soft enough for my fur baby
Item was as described but my kitty does not like it. She won’t even go on it. Not sure if it is just not soft enough for her. She is picky about certain textures. So if you cat does not like a scratchy rough surface this may not work for your fur baby.

Don't buy. Save your money and buy a proper cat bed.
Not what you think it's going to be. It's a very scratchy material. My cat didn't like it unless it was lined with a blanket. To be honest, I wouldn't like to lay in a bed with scratchy material either.

Demasiado pequeño y ligero.
Muy pequeño. Al salir de el se les queda pegado por lo pequeño y liviano que es. Eso no les gusta. Lo usan una vez y no vuelven.
