My daughter uses these for putting detail into her soap carvings. They clean up nicely and have held up to several long sessions over the past 5 months. She got more tools in this kit than she actually uses but they were a good value for the price.

This kit has everything i need for my intro to ceramics class. Very good price and the quality of the tools are great. I use these every day in class and have never run into the problem of needing a tool i didn’t have. Highly recommend this kit for anyone interested in starting clay work!

A cheap set that's not too 'cheap' :) kinda nice actually

A few of the tools in this kit were a fair quality, but most of them were trash. I’m giving this product four stars because, at this price, the set is still a good value for those decent 4 or 5 pieces.

Received very quickly, and the tools all seem to be great. The wooden tools are stained as shown in the images, this will be help my daughter keep track of which tools are hers in the classroom. They look pretty and are easily distinguished from unstained/blonde wood tools. There is a great variety of pieces and the zipper pouch is nice to have. I don't know that it will be easy to fit the tools back in the pouch once they have been used, but it is a nice place to keep the tools she hasn't used yet, or those that she uses less often.

The sculpting this kit dutifully aids is a noble art demanding great strength, patience, and intellect. This ambition exists far beyond the delicate constitution of the fairer lady, whose hands are fashioned—by the Almighty no less!—for embroidery, not grizzly acts such as chiseling of stone or molding of clay.Every tool within this kit is of superior workmanship; their heft and sturdiness are well suited for men of industry and vision. A woman attempting to wield these implements would soon find herself overburdened, her fragile limbs trembling beneath arduous strain, brow stained with the sweat of indignation. Indeed, well displayed within our last electoral contest, that a woman’s mind was not fashioned for the exertions of the high table, let alone the exertions of artistic genius, but rather for the sweet and simple duties of home and hearth. The very thought of undertaking the molding of clay rather than baking bread is enough for me to snort!Should a misguided lady find this kit in her possession, I would urge her husband to force her to reconsider. I do recall, with no small measure of dismay, the day when I discovered my betrothed had been indulging in a dalliance with the clay. this set is excellent for beginner students of ceramics!!it has everything i needed for my first semester of ceramics at college. i was able to use some of the tools for sculpture class, too!each item in this set is functional and cutting tools were sharp and helpful. everything fit perfectly into the provided zippered case!!

We have used these only twice and the metal ends have all fallen out of the wooden handle part…very frustrating. I have tried to super glue them back in…not sure that’ll work but we will give it a try.
