Does not work the way it is meant to work
This is my first feedback. And reason for writing this is to help other to not waste their money on this device. Setting up the device was not that smooth. After some help from the support I was able to configure the device in bridge mode. And then the final test came when i wanted to set up different access levels for kids computers. The access levels does not work at all. Cujo should stop mentioning Access levels in their product marketing, as it dos not work. It does not block Youtube, Google as per their support and they can not help to block these sites. Even after blocking different categories in Cujo app, it had no affect on access level. It is just a waste of money. I would never recommend this product to anyone.

Great security and amazing customer service
Awesome product and wonderful customer service! In fact the best IT related customer service that I’ve ever had and I work for a help desk. I haven’t had it very long and it already caught and stopped a bad attempt to connect to a website. Also I have tested it from a hackers standpoint and all the virtual ports are blocked from outside coming in. This is amazing for any home network device that is reasonably priced. The app is simple as well and if have any trouble you can even “FaceTime” with customer service so they can see what is wrong. I do recommend calling them for setup as they are super nice and helpful as well as knowledgeable about the CUJO and it’s capabilities. I will recommend this to all family members!

A few things you should know
1. Set up isn't as easy as the video or instructions show. There are a few detail that are not covered.2 Customer service is very helpful they stayed on the phone with me until the firewall worked as it should.3. Customer service is not U.S. based.4. The eyes on Cujo are very bright, if it is going in a room were you will be sleeping or like to watch tv in the dark the light will have to be blocked. 5. The cord is short must be near an outlet.6. Very pleased with it so far, update if anything changes.

Does the job, but limits functionality.
PROS: Easy to use device management app. Has blocked threats since having it for the past few months.CONS: Customer service I’ve received so far has been mediocre. I had a representative tell me, “I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you mean by Touch ID on the CUJO app. The Cujo app doesn't have a built-in Touch ID function.” Unbeknownst to him, the CUJO app does have a Touch ID funtion for iPhones. Essentially, I received a response without the representative doing their homework first. Moreover, it doesn’t support guest network so you’re unable to segregate guests from your home network with the CUJO device. You can create a “guest” profile and restrict site access, but can’t keep devices under this profile from being able to ping your other networked devices. Also, it doesn’t support QoS if you have the capability on your router. Lastly, it sometimes, albeit rarely, malfunctions requiring a power cycle to fix the problem: i.e. nothing was wrong with the router and I didn’t just make any config changes via the CUJO app.OVERALL: Does the job of protecting your devices, but limits network management capabilities.

Does not work and no Tech Support Response
I have not been able to get this device to connect at all. I only get error messages. I sent an email through the Help on the app, but no response from technical support. I spoke with Spectrum, and they don't know how to make the device work. There is no technical support. Evidently they are all in a foreign country. I checked their website, and no one is American on the site. The directions are not helpful. I have tried you tube, the web, etc. It's a piece of junk.

The good things: You don't have to pay a subscription ...
I tested this device in my internal network and from internet with Tor too an it didn't stop any of the attacks that I did. I performed some brute-force attacks, DoS, Port Scans, I hijacked some computers in my network using exploits and payloads and this Cujo was with the eyes wide open all the time but never stopped any of the attacks. Here are some tools that I used:Hydra, hping3, nmap, msfvenom, metasploit. The good things:You don't have to pay a subscription like with other competitors. The parental controls works, but they need more granularity. It blocks effectively most of the malicious websites, but Safari, Chrome and Firefox do that too without any additional configurationThey have good customer service, and they seem to be knowledgeable.

But now its happy, and me too
It was mentioned 'free lifetime' subscription with purchase, but when I installed the app I had three subscription options. I had to call CUJO customer service for the issue. First installation was ok, with my Netgear ORBI. The second day I had to unplug everything to setup a new surge protector. On this second installation it took me 2 days to get everything working properly, my Orbi Satellite would not sync with CUJO, WEMO light switch and dimmers would not connect. CUJO would often go offline. After 2 days finally got everything working the manual setup way. But now its happy, and me too !P.S. When I went to p/u the package at the post office, the Amazon box was drenched by truck oil. Canada Post had a little problem with the delivery truck. Luckily CUJO was well protected in its' own box wrapped in plastic.
