TENYU Car, Electric or Circuit Box Automatic Self-Activation Fire Extinguisher Fire Suppression Device (Purple)

Was going to use this for emergency fire supression on my 3D printer setup. I mounted it above the printer using the provided screws. I came in the next morning to find the charge had fallen out of the mount and spilled the powder everywhere. Im not sure what happened. There was no fire. Luckily I was able to clean the printer. I will not go with this solution again.

The product Im giving five stars, despite not having had to have it activate and not knowing its full capabilities still. If they weren't so expensive I'd het one to test to make sure that and how they work. I have it in a 3D printing enclosure for the just incase. My only issue was is it took almost 3 weeks to get here, but I won't judge the product on that, and I know these days shipping can be off. I'll probably get more for all the enclosures.

Refrig-fires are the biggest danger to and RV. I installed this unit in the refrig.Four months after installing it in my RV refrigerator bay, it broke apart, dumped the yellow powder in the bay. I threw it out and vacuumed the residual powder out of the bay.

Don’t really know how to review this. Mounts ok — it came with a couple different brackets to mount it. The only way to really know how it works is to have a fire, and I‘love pass on that, thank you.

The TENYU self activating fire extinguisher arrived undamaged, well packaged and on time. I’m using it in an equipment closet that houses my home automation switching, termination, wifi gear and 12 volt power supplies. The power supplies run perimeter infrared as well as sight spectrum LED floodlights. I purchased this to provide peace of mind and fire protection because of the gear I have assembled in my wiring closet. As a precaution, all the electronic gear I acquired is UL listed and/or approved. The attachment hardware provided was adequate but I used different screws to hold the device because the supplied screws just didn’t fit. Minor inconvenience. This is a product you hope you never have to use, but comforting that you know it’s there. Going to add several more around the house in locations such as the furnace room and electrical supply panels. Well worth the money for peace of mind, especially when traveling.

I have these installed in the tops of my grow tents, above the lights. I hope that I never find out it they work.

I hope not to find out how well this works in a fire. This seems to work not with a heat sensor but rather requires flames to reach a fuse on the bottom. this might very well prevent a grease fire from destroying a house. A heat triggered system that will also shut of your gas or electricity is quite expensive so this seems better than nothing. All the same I would recommend having an ordinary fire extinguisher handy in your kitchen. You may well be able to prevent a fire from getting big enough to trigger this gadget. Just stand back so you don't blow flaming grease over yourself or the kitchen.
