Perfect!
Every disc played without issue. English diaglogue with original Japanese music 5.1 or US broadcast with US stereo or all original mono Japanese viewing options. This is the unedited with nudity, language, death and all that stuff. Only issue with the remaster is some transition scenes black screen - audio continues and it only black screens for a second. Happens funny enough at times it doesn't matter but it does happen a few times an episode. Dragon Ball seemed to come 4:3 standard but this series was remastered for wide screen so yes the picture is zoomed in some to prevent letter boxing...kind of annoying but works for full screen. Marathon feature is a god send and was so happy to relive this series from Tsunami days!! Every episode played without issue - so happy to add this to the collection!!

they did a fantastic job bringing this to the big screen
EDIT: 2/10/2017**PLEASE DISREGARD REGION WARNING IN LISTING** I just purchased this again, ignoring the Region B warning in the listing as I was fairly certain this was a Region A/B release, and it is. This WILL play in your US Bluray players.I don't even consider the clipping an issue at this point. This is the way DBZ should be watched on HD displays, period. I wouldn't have it any other way. There are a few sequences and episodes where the cleaning took a blurring tool more than a sharpening tool, but overall, they did a fantastic job bringing this to the big screen. It's good to see such care taken to update the Orange Box releases for HD.If they repeat this process for Dragon Ball and GT, they will most assuredly have sold me at least six more box sets, even after DBZ finishes up.No joke, FUNimation has made me look at other HD releases with a spoiled set of eyes. I can't watch Akira on Bluray because it looks like it hasn't even been touched when compared to the care that went into DBZ. It's CRAZY, and I'm serious! Other classic Bluray releases look like garbage in comparison. These releases are worth every penny. They deserve to be in your collection. So do it!

The picture quality improved a lot but that's not saying much though.
This box features episodes 195-219, the Anoyichi Tournament, Great Saiyaman arc and the Tenkaichi Tournament arc in total has 6 discs.I originally bought this to watch only the Great Saiyaman arc and in that regard it was all right, the picture quality looks really good had it not been for the cropping which cuts off heads and mouths every now and then, as well as the colours tend to vary from great to poor (too bright and yellowy) at its max.Despite the problems that this release has going for it, it's nice that FUNimation included the original Japanese credits for the title episode cards at least because in English they really look cheesy with that awful font they chose for them.So all in all, if you can't get a hold of the US Dragon Box Z release then this is serviceable but considering how persistent FUNimation is by re-releasing Dragon Ball Z I'd say give it sometime until 2015/16 because they'll probably come up with another remaster and hopefully this time they'll release it uncropped in fullscreen aspect ratio.By the way, the booklet included was really cool it has info about the Heroes & Villains plus about the episodes too, although this is kind of a rarity nowadays due to the later prints not having it any more so if you're a Dragon Ball fan be sure to keep it too!

Great as always
This is the seventh remastered season of dragonball z, it starts off with gohan going to school and then being forced to enter the world martial arts tournament , in my opinion it is one of the better seasons of dragonballz because it doesn't have a villain until the end really, and it is just more purely story rather than repeated fight scenes, it again looks great compared to the original editions , the remastering makes a big difference just a shame about the tops and bottoms getting cut-off the scenes. Overall definately a 5* although as a word of caution, i have noticed on 3 of the box-set some of the discs skip, there was a whole episode in this set which i couldn't play.

damaged goods
the programme is fantastic, and this would of received 5 stars but due to that i had to get this imported for the us to the uk it took awhile and that this item has arrived complete obliterated, and to be honest i do not think this was cause just by the delivery, as you can see in the images that the case dose not even have the full clear wrap to hold the front cover to the case and the dvd retainers smashed so dvd scratched as moving around the case

Part 7
What an excellent season, chances are if you looking at reviews at this point in the game then you're more concerned about the delivery and making sure that this is legit. So relax, it is legitimate, the delivery was fast and the set arrived in great condition!
